Time to tap the entitlement sign again... 11:08 - Oct 6 with 2648 viewsjasondozzell

A bad day at the office yesterday from the team and a lot of the supporters too.

It was always going to be a difficult game but we made it doubly hard through some poor defending and sloppiness. Couldn't deal with Antonio and them getting the ball wide and putting it across our box time and time again.

Very unlike us. KM calm as ever on the touchline. May be no bad thing. We've been so impressive that it's easy even for the most grounded supporter to get carried away. We've gone from League 1 to here in two years whilst trying to repair 20 years of neglect at the same time.

West Ham have a Brazilian international playing for them. Until recently we hoped to see Broadly and Wes get some minutes from the bench for Wales.

It reminded me of Bolton away early on in KM's tenure. Individual errors costing us. KM will get it right as he did then.

Vocal minority of idiots in the away end. Why are people desperate to scapegoat players? Everyone had made up their minds on Johnson before the game even began. Ridiculous. He made mistakes but he also defended well at points. Hasn't had any game time.

People going over the top and kicking seats. We've all been spoilt and forgotten what football is like for most - win some and lose some. Play well and then play badly.

It was good to see a lot of us sticking with the team whilst others left at 70 mins. One of the best Town sides and manager over the last few years and some chuck their toys out of the pram. It's disrespectful imo.

Delap V good again. Hutch a little off it again. As much as some seem inexplicably keen to write them off, I hope KM continues his belief in giving players chances when others lose a bit of form and gives the core like Chappers, Luongo a crack of the whip too. Burg , Woolf too. They are good players.

Stadium is dire. What a tragedy that they swapped Upton Park for that.

Agreed. People seem to forget that a lot of our players come from Champ level and they need to learn and adjust. This is an ongoing process and we likely won’t see major improvements for a while yet. Just hope it’s not too late.

Yes, I think that's absolutely it. It feels like it's going to be a race between the end of the season and KM's coaching to improve and develop these players further. I think KM will win it and we'll be okay but we've got to stay calm. Think by December/Jan e should start seeing things really click. They already have in many ways it's just that it's such a tough league to build in.

I agree about Johnson. It’s very weird and happens everywhere. Same as not looking at the lack of protection he got or outlet all game.

However, when are we going to start talking about us being a Prem team and measuring ourselves as one? If we spend all season dismissing things we might as well just go back down now.

Muric is another one that people seem waiting to turn on.

One idiot on chat tried to coin Muricide. Others are beginning to turn.

It's depressing really.

J2 no one waits to turn on Players
No one waits in hope players make mistakes.

But if a player doesn't perform then yes they will be discussed and moaned about. Likewise if a player is brilliant they would be too.

Problem for muric is if he has a mistake he follows up with a bad 30 minutes around it and we see it throw town off our path in the game.

Genuine question what have I said that's OTT J2?

There are many others that I felt weren't great ops like the johnson sht one for example. But I don't feel like I've done that myself. So apologies if I have without realising and happy to amend them. ( are you referring to me saying we missed hladky?) I'm unsure otherwise.
And I wasn't on the chat so I wasn't the person you were referring to.

I won't apologise for discussing players tho which is what I've felt I've done and fairly.

You always want to take the negative view. Sometimes you seem to fight it because you know you'll get stick but in the end you can't resist. Not going to go back through posts but over the last few weeks it's been like you're waiting for Muric to fail.

He's a new keeper with a new CB partnership in the toughest league in the world.

Maybe give him more than 5 games or however many he's played.

Shame you won't spend the time to go back through my posts as you'd feel different about them imo. No one other than yourself has had any issues with my posts this season especially and more so the last few weeks so I'm unsure why you think I've been waiting.

I was waiting for a thread that slagged off some of our fans on a London away game.

Well done.

Muric, like O'Shea, is going to get a beadier eye, fairly or not, the player he replaced looked decent at the point for being dropped. At that point it raises expectations and criticism will be greater because the question will be asked what does he bring to the team that the player he replaced didn't?

I've seen nothing good from him so far which surpasses what we've seen from Walton. The defence seems shaky and less confident with him in goal than they did on opening day. At this point I'm wondering why we didn't take the cheaper option and pay Hladky what he wanted. Hopefully he will grow further into the role but, for now, he's not the best of McKenna's signings.

Team done ok yesterday in patches but we made some errors. We move on looking to next game not moaning like you on here.

They do. I'm in a chat where someone thought he was a liability before he got here, and seems more interesting in being right, than supporting him and giving him a chance. Not interested in the stats that may disprove their bias.

You were looking for any opportunity to slam Burns when that saga was playing out.

Everyone makes mistakes, but the issue is when people build on that to support a position they unfairly reach and are unwilling to be open to changing their mind on.

Greaves has made a big mistake and some smaller ones, but the narrative is that he is great, so people forgive his more easily Muric.

Once again not about me and burns last season.

But I don't think outside of the chat room people are wanting players to fail. Otherwise it means they want town to fail.

“It was always going to be a difficult game”. I wonder how many people thought that. I saw lots of people talking about of first win of the season. Expectation is a fools game in this league for us this season.

A little story for those that are jumping on Johnson:

Myself and two friends are season-ticket holders living around Manchester. We attend virually every game home and away. Two years ago we travelled to Forest Green for our first away game of the season. In the opening game our new defender had given away a penalty, generally looked completely off of it and got substituted. 20 minutes into the match at Forest Green (i.e. having spent less than 90 minutes on the pitch) a guy behind us declared very vocally that the new defender was absolutely sh*t and that he didn't rate him at all. I don't know who the idiot behind us was but the new defender was called Leif Davis.

Until Muric cuts out taking dangerous risk balls almost every game some he gets away with some he won't he will divide opinion I'm off the view there is a time not to play in the wrong areas. At the moment he has a mistake in him most games and takes far to long to make decisions so concerned no good making great saves then present the opposition chances.

Your Burns situation is a very clear example of someone getting too wrapped up in preferring to be right about something and focusing too much on faults, so you're going to have to live with that coming up in moments like this. It's also inappropriate for me to dump a WhatsApp conversation in here.

I don't think being getting too caught up in wanting your (anyone, not you specifically) opinion validated translates into wanting Town to fail. For example, I don't think you wanted Town to fail.
