Can you correctly guess the places that are located within Greater London (i.e. within one of the 32 boroughs) whilst avoiding those that are not? As with the few "sudden death" football quizzes I have shared here, one wrong click/tap and the quiz will be over, so think carefully... There are 21 answers to guess and a time limit of five minutes, but do let me know if you think this is at all restrictive.

0%... 😂 Not a good first pick.
Thank you all for the tries at this one. Seems like it is a bit more difficult that I'd possibly considered as the average score is 5 out of 21, with only two answers being selected by more than 50% of quiz takers!...

I live in Woolwich and I had no idea about some of the ones near me. What is the distinction /definition e.g. where someone lives in Kent but also in Bexley, for example?

It's about London Boroughs. Bexley is in London Borough of Bromley.
Growing up in said Borough, I thought I'd sail through this, but was hopeless.
Less is more.

I didn't think it could for example, Ilford and Barking haven't been in Essex since 1965.
I've always known them as "Ilford, Essex" and "Barking, Essex" but given I was born in 72 I guess that must've been handed down from my dad (who was born in Romford, Essex).
Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Even West Ham was Essex I believe.
There is also of course the argument over what a county actually is which is explored with humour here with apologies if you've seen it before

Well Bexley was historically within Kent but became part of the new ceremonial county of Greater London when it was formed in 1965. There are other places in the quiz that were once located within the home counties but which now fall under the administration of Greater London. Whilst, for example, residents of Romford will vote in London's mayoral elections, be served by the London Fire Brigade, etc., some of them will still see themselves as part of Essex given that it was for centuries, even though it is certainly part of the London urban area these days.
And many of those places swallowed up by Greater London do not have "London" postcodes, so people's postal addresses may still read "Bromley, Kent", for example. But postal towns/postcodes don't really mean that much, e.g. Steeple Bumpstead in Essex has a Cambridge postcode and a Suffolk postal town (Haverhill), so an address in the village would include "...Steeple Bumpstead, Haverhill, Suffolk CB9 XXX". And Lavenham is in Suffolk with a Colchester postcode, and Thetford is in Norfolk with an Ipswich postcode, etc.
