How much longer does McKenna have? 00:26 - Dec 4 with 8100 views | BornDeleuze | Given it wouldn’t be a surprise for McKenna to move on after this season anyway how much longer do you think the board will accept this run of results before appointing someone else. Given Leicester have just done this and look rejuvenated when should we do the same.

How much longer does McKenna have? on 20:03 - Dec 4 by J2BLUE | Not a chance in hell he gets sacked if we go down. |
J2 I literally started the post saying I don't think he'll be sacked. I just don't know what KM's plans are. And if he is leaving at the end of the season then we may potentially mutually agree a change if relegation was confirmed so a new manager could come in before the summer. How much longer does McKenna have? on 20:43 - Dec 4 with 815 views | BcarefulwhatUWish4 | In terms of planning, we were not expecting to get promoted last season. Expectations for this season were always going to be low. We are still in the battle to avoid relegation. I'm not sure why you think changing manager at this point would be a good move. If we had 0 points and were shipping 4 goals every game....then I could understand your post a little better.
How much longer does McKenna have? on 22:29 - Dec 4 with 745 views | football | I really hope you have realised you posted this after one too many and have reached a different opinion. McKenna has taken us from League One to the PL in two seasons - that is unheard of. He has done that with mainly LG1 players supplemented by CH players with potential as FFP and rules dictate we can not go and spend billions. Look at the Man City away game. They brought on a player from the bench who is worth more than our entire squad! In my opinion, the game is shot, ruined. Proper fans priced out from many clubs and squad values of established clubs which are no where near possible with aspiring clubs. It was always going to be a struggle this year - if people thought otherwise they need to wobble their heads. The jump from CH to PL is way bigger than LG1 to CH. Rather than talk about sacking the manager, maybe get behind them. I mean, who would you bring in better, who the fans and the players respect?? If it is the case you hadn't had a few, maybe you are a new fan who doesn't get where we have been and where we are - but your post is wrong
How much longer does McKenna have? on 22:55 - Dec 4 with 724 views | WonTheCupin78 | The board will accept this run of results for some time. McKenna could move on but it'll be because a bigger club has put in a ludicrous offer. Leicester have won 1 game, hard to claim that they are rejuvenated. I don't know if you are a new fan or not, but it wasn't long ago (2017) that we were beaten in the FA cup by (at the time) non-league Lincoln on live tv. The saddest thing about that defeat wasn't the result, it was the performance. We deserved to lose. We have come a long way since.
How much longer does McKenna have? on 23:17 - Dec 4 with 704 views | orfordbuoy | It's actually something I have never considered, but I think it's a fair question. At what point would Ashton deem we have reached a red line (every other club has one), or does McKenna have a free pass this season? Hopefully, well get a few wins soon, like St Pauli, staring with Bournemouth.

We are not every other club. Our way since Gamechanger came in is just that. For me it’s actually a dopey question and there is no red line. There is no ‘free pass’ either. Just progressing the football club, buy in to what we are trying to do and back the people doing the work to achieve it. There is no reason not to unless you don’t believe in it or lack bottle.

What you fail to understand is, it's not about 'us', it's what is going on at board level. And we don't know if there are red lines or free passes for the year. Bed perhaps? Edit. and you might want to revisit the Morsy thread. [Post edited 5 Dec 2024 0:40]

Actually, I disagree. It is about us. Without us there is no football club or Owners. They clearly believe that otherwise they would not be bothering with the community stuff or considering what to do with the stadium - just a couple of examples. I hate the terms ‘red lines’ and ‘free passes’. The first is something beloved by politicians so for that reason alone I would never use it. Free passes? It gets used quite a lot on here. There is no such thing and never was in my view. If McKenna loses every game between now and May, I’d still be happy for him to remain here as long as he wishes to and has the appetite to do the job. There will be plenty of people that want him gone at the end of the year if results continue to be poor, despite him being the best manager we’ve had here in years. Some just love a new manager (‘look at Leicester with RVN’ etc). Shiny and red faced with excitement like that berk Jim White on transfer deadline day. There comes a time when a parting of the ways is right for all concerned. We are a million miles away from thatn my view. Your comment ‘Bed perhaps?’ - is that an attempt at being patronising, rude or condescending? Condescending is a term you use in the Morsy thread when using Matt Lucas’ post. Either way a comment like that is not something you’d use to my face so best not used on an internet forum. As for the thread on Morsy, yes, I’ve read it. I’ve expressed my views on this and have no intention of adding to them. If or more likely when there is a more general thread on Multiculturalism, religion, culture, behaviours I will offer my opinion - possibly.

How much longer does McKenna have? on 10:47 - Dec 5 with 486 views | Europablue | If they did sack McKenna, I'd hope that we get relegated. They would undo so much goodwill that it is unthinkable. It's not that he's unsackable. If we were losing 5-1 every week, there might be a case for it. Right now it is stupid to even consider the possibility. Get behind the manager and the team and they will do much better than if you create discontent.
