All these Anti Ipswich Pundits.. 22:15 - Dec 27 with 3260 viewsWestSussexBlue

Slating us for our lack of intent or attacking prowess, well we’ve now played Arsenal, United, Spurs, and Liverpool conceding only 5 goals and with a win and a draw in there too. How about some recognition of what we’re achieving with the squad that’s been built from league One.
Shearer, Sutton Parlour so called unbiased pundits.

They are simply catering for the majority audience. But I agree with you its lazy punditry. The Likes of Motson and the old school commentators would be more knowledgeable and offer praise but the ex-player numpties live in a Premiership bubble.

It's like the comment at the end about Arsenal could have scored a lot more goals, where's that come from? Gabriel should have scored but other than that we looked sound at the back.
It's just big-team bias.

To be fair, Shearer complimented us and said he linked what he’s seen of us this far this season. The lack of crossing for much of 2nd half was frustrating.

Poll: Right now, who would you rather have as Prime Minister?

These pundits are thick.

We go and attack, lose 5-0, they'll be moaning we should have been more pragmatic.

If we'd have got a goal at the end and it was 1-1, they'd all be saying its a great game plan.

They talk sh!te.

He was right on that one to be fair but the confidence is down and Arsenal are a solid side, we were always going to struggle to offer much

You can see how Everton shut them out

Over sensitive. Fans always think referees and pundits hate their team.

Have you listened to Parlour or Shearer lately? they can barely contain a snigger when talking about Town. They almost treat the likes of us as”it’s okay they won’t stay long, smile and blow more smoke up the arses of the so called clubs that belong there”

Why do people worry about what some clown says on a footy show?

No they wouldn’t; they’d be saying we got lucky and Arsenal were poor.

Who knows, we will never know

Arsenal were poor I would say, we limited them to few chances with a back three who hadn't played together on a regular basis, Wolfy starting for the first time in some time

Everton who have a far mor expensively assembled side than us, did manage to shut them out and that doesn't surprise me. They do lack a bit of extra flair and quality without Saka.

Because it negatively influences the way people perceive us.

There’s an easy solution - don’t listen to them. It’s irrelevant what they say, good or bad.

Don’t like him but to be fair Shearer did mention other night the incredible rise from league 1 to Premier.

Shearer praised Martinelli towards the end for going down like a screaming 3 year old child after little contact and then rolling around to get the free kick from that idiot Darren England. Shearer stated it was good that he 'played for it' - I call it cheating. Also the way the pundits were having a laugh about the passing stats in the first half........ P rick s

I agree completely but they're only echoing what some of our own fans seem to be saying.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

You don't think our league position, shortage of goals, failure to win a home game this season and all the other multitude of stats etc etc influences people's perception?

A match that involves Town, it’s nice to listen/ read unbiased views not the one sided sniggering drivel they deliberately churn out because it’s us and not a club that they deem more worthy of the Premier League.

Quite, particularly for those of us living outside E. Anglia and not publicly hearing much about ITFC apart from this and the club site.
