It does make me laugh when managers moan about soft freekicks being given against them but ignore the fact they get the same type given to them. Fulham players and their manager made it a very difficult game to referee with their surrounding and hounding the ref continuously. |  | | |

I would imagine VAR were screaming in his ear that he'd got it wrong and he refrained from hooking Wilson as he would have looked a bit silly booking him then awarding him a penalty. Still, I hope he will be disciplined retrospectively as he deserves it.....but I expect he won't. |  |

Arguably he looks sillier not booking Wilson. And I think it should be red.
Referees complain that players surround them and make their life difficult, but the reality is that they have the tools to do something about it - book them. Tell the players that there is a zero tolerance policy and then enforce it. I don’t understand why that is so difficult / controversial - it’s not like there is a grey area… | | | |
