I seem to remember a time when MOTD had no presenters (Might have been during Covid) and they just showed the games. I much preferred that to be honest. | |

I want to watch MOTD for the football. Not people talking about it. It's got to the point where half of the program is the "post-match analysis" ie. Shearer talking guff and Micah Richards laughing a lot. It's certainly not going to get better analysed by ex players of what is essentially an amateur game. | |

I know what you mean about Richards. Shearer annoys me simply because for an ex-pro he provides absolutely zero insight. He must have been an instinctive player rather than a student of the game. Our own Westy is far better - at least you know he’s watching the game based on the little nuggets of info he slips in. Shearer has literally nothing meaningful to say (which is an ironic whinge coming from me, lol). |  |

i don't mind richards as much, he has more of a foot in the modern-world than shearer et al. agree on westy
shearer is ok on big strikers, so occasionally has something intereting to say about delap, otherwise is a waste of space, would far rather have a knowledgeable journalist in his place | |
