I've not been this excited about signing a player for a long time. Had i knew what Delap would be like my head would probably have exploded.

From the highlights reel, he does look like an even better version of Ogbene.

That's a banger of a highlights reel. Remember him looking like a real handful against us last year. Very excited to see what he brings!

I didn’t know he scored so many bangers if I’m honest.

He looks a really clever player. Judges and uses the flight of the ball so well.

I think he’ll go on to have a better career here than Alan Judge.

I know the Rabona got all the attention but how good is that back heel finish? Proper Pablo-esque!

2 things which really impress me from this. One being how unselfish he looks and secondly how composed he is to pick the right pass or shoot.

He's quality. I was so excited when he was linked in the summer and a bit underwhelmed when we landed on Clarke and Szmodics (no disrespect to either). Philogene is a premier league player, no doubt in my mind. I saw quite a bit of him even back at his Cardiff loan spell and he looked a complete cut above. He's as good as Omari.

As impressive as some of those bits of skill are, I'm just as impressed that quite a few of the clips on that reel show how he likes to battle for the ball, winning it back high up which is part of what has worked well for us for the last couple of years. The other thing that is highlighted from that video is he is so switched on at all times, there were a few clips of him taking advantage of mistakes because he was anticipating a chance. That is something that is hard to teach and a massive asset for a forward.

Looks like he can attack from both left and right, as well as the centre, and shoot with both feet. He also looks to have a lot of composure, as well as oodles of skill.

Totallly agree. He’s a fantastic young player.

I don’t understand the attitude of so many of our fans hoping we don’t sign him because the transfer took so long and because it means he doesn’t want to join.

They don’t have a clue as to what holds things up and I feel for the bloke that there are some idiotic fans that will still hold this against him the moment he dares misplace a pass.

So glad he’s here but the transfer saga was more a reflection of some supporters than it was Jaden.

As Philogene and Delap have already played together at Hull I really think they can fuse a good combination together too.

That also ties in with what Villa fans have said, in that defensively he's been quite good. Which is a prerequisite for our attacking players and something mentioned by Omari from the off in terms of what McKenna looks for as a foundational piece in our game plan.

I think probably just impatience and people adding 2 +2 and getting 17. He wanted to come in the summer, he wanted to join again now at a time where there was no doubt interest from other clubs. He clearly would've had numerous chats with McKenna and Ashton over the past 6 months, there's no lack of routes to do our due diligence on his character through Delap, Greaves, probably Rosenior as well. But people don't seem to think rationally.

I was excited by this signing in July then meh when it fell through,
Now I'm very excited,
If he can step up 15% he's going to get bums off seats,
A very exciting prospect,

Very highly regarded at Hull and from speaking to people at the club, they pitched him not far behind Delap on talent scale, time will tell.

Put the decision aside in the summer he made to move back to his boyhood club, we’ve signed a real talent to work with our world class manager and link backup with Delap.

Lovely stuff.
I love how he knows how to hurt defenders by running with the ball straight into areas where they can't touch him. The amount of defenders with their hands in the air saying 'I'm not touching him'.
Plus seeing Greaves and Delap with him warms the cockles.

His work rate off the ball is very good as well, closes down effectively.
