Well quite. I’ve not seen anyone suggest it’s going to be annything other than a massive effort to stay in the league.
There are some thoroughly unpleasant posters on there as well.
There is absolutely no objectivity on there at all. Same as the hideous 1998 style one.
Anybody who acknowledges that weve done anything half decent this season, is shouted down with 'binner' or 'FOYSC'. Yes, we are rivals etc but it really cuts dead any debate if you're in complete denial. They just won't hear a word of it
I've not checked to see if they would find a space in their side for one of our players for a while. Maybe Delap would get on their bench by now.

What do you think about people using the word "binner"? I'm not an expert, but it seems like both sets of supporters call each other that. Perhaps they should be donating to food banks rather than making fun of people who are food insecure?
It's only Norwich fans who use that and it's got nothing to do with food poverty. It's because, 30-odd years ago, a character in Lovejoy, who was a dustman, took a Town baseball cap out of a bin.

My understanding is because our fans attacked a bin (for some strange reason), not taking the mick out of people scavenging from them.
Or listen to Phil, not me . But it’s not what you think it was.

I think you've missed the origin of that. It goes back to an old episode of Lovejoy where a binman was sporting an ITFC baseball cap. It's amazing and quite funny that it has stuck the way it has.
The interesting thing is come March when the online safety bill kicks in. The owners of that site could be on the hook for potentially millions of pounds of fines from Ofcom, for not tackling, or allowing forum users to post such things to be posted on the site.
It sounds like 1984. Just make people responsible for their own words and give forums reasonable expectations. They shouldn't have to take anything down until it is reported to them. It shouldn't be illegal to say anything online that you could say legally in the real world.

I believe he was actually wearing said baseball cap. It's quite binmanist if you think about it.

It's one of my favourite episodes of one of my favourite TV programmes. Poor old Eric gets caught bin-diving not once but twice by Brian and his crew and ends up with his sidecar full of spaghetti and nappies and with a very smelly helmet.
There were some great actors who I suspect put themselves forward for one-off episodes of Lovejoy because it was such a nice, gentle series set in beautiful Suffolk and North Essex in what were much quieter, cleaner and less self-centred, yet recent, times.
Very much the pinnacle of Great Britain if you ask me, and quite a grudging tribute that them little old won-nothing Budgies associate ITFC with it!
I was talking about this sort of thing with a national reporter yesterday, saying you'd never see a thread of that sort of length or vitriol - and certainly not with the ableist 1970s language - re Norwich on here. Although I'll appreciate the irony of saying so if this particular thread grows to 47 pages.
We do have a thread every single day about what they're saying about us though
Whereas they seemingly just have one thread about us which seems to cover everything
I'd imagine if you started a Budgie watch thread and everyone just put all their Norwich related musings on the, it would be just as long. No?

That's interesting, because I know that people from Liverpool are referred to as binners sometimes just to make fun of people in poverty.

I met Tinker once and was in the local paper for that, we'd gone their to meet Ian McShane, but he didn't turn up, but we did also meet a barn owl and Erik Knowles. We used to watch the show, but I don't remember any of the details. Thank you for the information!
I was about to say the same thing - most of the threads I see about the budgies is in reference to what they post about us.
And they don't only have the one thread - what about the Delap thread recently? Show me any discussions on TWTD about their players being shyte. Only recent player related discussion was regarding the despicable behaviour of Sainz spitting, but that would have been discussed regardless of who Sainz played for.

I don't read their forum, just saw the link to their Binner's Watch thread so it looked like a place for all their musings re us
I do find it ridiculous how many threads we have about them though

You picked me up about this when I mentioned their massive thread about us, which I am fairly sure was the last time it was mentioned. It was 6th Jan - 10 days ago.
Why do you feel the need to repeatedly defend them? Something you want to share with the group ?
There's 47 pages, each with 30 posts. That's over 1,400 posts about Ipswich - since July 1st.
I would be very surprised if the number of Norwich related posts on here were anywhere close to that

Lol, no. And i'm not sure where i've repeatedly defended them? I've possibly made 2 or 3 comments saying that this forum talks about them a lot, as well as them clearly talking about us a lot.
I just find it all a bit ironic. I don't look at their forum because I don't care what they think about us. But people repeatedly post on here laughing at how much mind they're paying us
Honestly no idea who posts more about who and to be honest I couldn't care less,. I'm not sure why I bothered to comment. Only really to suggest I personally find the amount of posts about them up the road tiresome
