When you say 'a lot', more the last three posts. I hadn't ready any made today before just now, but most last night seemed to be questioning his attitude. But I wouldn't want a player who is happy as squad filler, anyway. He might thrive being a slightly bigger fish in a slightly smaller pond. | |

I meant speaks volumes about the reaction from Brighton fans after the news was announced. A lot questioning how happy he was at the club, and it seemed to be a public thing that he was struggling there.
I said last night - might have been on the other Enciso thread - I would like us to bring in someone else with a bit of height/bulk. Even with his imminent arrival we seem to have a lot of skilful and/or pacy players up top but little, outside of Delap, strength. | |

Not saying a lot is it really?
Sarmiento will always be a hero because of a couple of late goals, but based purely on the few games he started he never did anything special. He has now been on loan to 3 championship clubs and failed to hold down a starting place at any of them. Not to be disrespectful, but if he's that good he should be a regular starter at one of those clubs. | | | |

Any team that has to concede 70% possession to the opposition means that the defence comes under huge pressure. A misplaced pass, a bit of pinball in the box, a succession of corners or a goalkeepers mistake and you are on the back foot. Against certain teams, the Liverpool's or a Man City you don't expect as much control. But teams like Palace, Brighton etc especially at home your possession should be above 50%. The midfield is the engine room of all the best teams and whilst it is always said you start at the back and work your way through I still believe we are weak and don't have the legs in midfield. | | | |

With the current styles of football pure athleticism is more important than ever in middle.
Although he's not a CM, Burns stood out for his pace in L1 and the Championship. Get to the prem and he doesn't look as quick. The Liverpool midfield 3 are absolute specimens. When we played them first game I couldn't believe how quickly they got up and down the pitch. Another example - Tonioli, Bruno and Joelinton - all great technicians but also deceptively quick.
Morsy has served us well and he's a model professional however he's just not got the raw speed required in the prem. | | | |
