SSN reporting Brighton are open to selling Ferguson 18:07 - Jan 28 with 7782 viewsKorrupt

Worth bidding?? Especially bearing in mind he hasn't played much and his valuation has probably gone down.

Would love it, but suspect that knocked down fee is still northwards of £40 mill.

Out of our price range, both transfer and wages wise.

I expect we’ve shown interest as we have in previous windows but priced out and a lot more competition this year.

I think Everton will throw the kitchen sink at this as they are in dire need of a striker. He hasn't been at 100% fitness for at least the last 12 months and you'd wonder would be even pass at medical right now?

Suspect he’ll end up at Arsenal, Westham, perhaps Spurs?

Out of Everton’s price range - plus, if you were a sought after striker I’m not sure Everton can offer him much.

Out of our price range. If we could get him on loan with a buy clause if we stay up it would be good business if the fee was £30m or less (which realistically, it won't be).

I can’t quite see Arsenal going for him. Surely he’s a bit below what they’d look for. Hasn’t been able to establish himself at admittedly very good Brighton doesn’t scream Arsenal signing. Or even Spurs. West Ham and Potter I can definitely see.

That's where I see him. West Ham.

£25 I would guess. Lots of potential last season but out of form this and not good enough for Brighton to start this season. If Brighton are selling then they are questioning his long term ability and after this season that will impact his value. Certainly not going to be anywhere near the £50m Brighton were valuing him at last season, hence I would guess £25m

25m?

Absolutely no chance in today's market.

He looked a serious SERIOUS prospect before his injury but has he done anything since to justify a fee of over £25m? Or is it just todays market is that bonkers…I just find the links and numbers with him seem a bit fishy. Think Brighton want him gone. Something doesn’t feel right.

We couldn't loan him as already have Enciso from Brighton. No more than one allowed from the same club at any time.

I agree with you about his form but he seems to be dealing with the same injury for a long time now. I wonder what the issue is with that because he has made the squad and got minutes while Brighton were saying he was injured?

Maybe if he gets back to full health he will be that serious player again? And yes, the market as we all know is bonkers.

And we already have 2 from English clubs, which is the maximum at one time. So no possibility of any more loans from an English club this season.

Yeah and he’s also potentially that rarest of beasts - proper number 9. They are pricey. Sort of player I love to watch and would be so excited if we could sign him but doubt that’s even remotely possible.

Another player who is rarely fit and will he ever be so I'm cautious this may not be right for us.

Hes done nothing for two years, and can't get in Brightons team.

Youre back to buying potential. £25m is a full price.

I honestly don’t know either way. If you get the pre-injury Ferguson you’ve got yourself the dial moving player that might keep us up. We won’t get him anyway…

Loan with option to buy I suspect.

Bournemouth seems a good shout.
