Your point was occasioned by the article. If its authenticity is in question then your assertion that players knowingly undertake their negotiations is potentially a point made ex nihilo. One of the answers that you might have made to my query e.g. that you believed the figures, would have entitled you to hold forth on players and their contract negotiations. But, a contrary answer i.e. that you did not believe those figures, would then provide no ground of relevance for your actual response. The assumption has to be that you did believe them while others on the thread clearly did not, I, being one of them, and hence my deployment of irony. (But not rudeness). | |
