McKenna OUT 15:22 - Feb 23 with 1917 viewsZonderman

Hoping that got your attention ! Of course I don’t mean that but in the light of the overwhelming likelihood of relegation (which personally I think was all but sealed after the Saints loss at the start of the month), it is imperative that we don’t face a summer of McKenna agent fed speculation which will be such a distraction from the huge effort needed to keep the Town project on the rails. It seems clear enough that the loans will not stay and that we’ll lose Delap and possibly Davis. Those departures aside it seems to me that we will be (no guarantees I know) very competitive in the Championship. For me KM deserves all the plaudits afforded him after performing a modern day football miracle by hammering us through two divisions. Utopia would see him committing to Town publicly whichever division we are going to be in. I doubt that will be the case and can only hope that if he is to leave for pastures new, that he resigns the day after the end of the season. I can’t face another summer like the last one.

Well I'm gearing up for exactly that. A whole summer Delap and Mckenna speculation. It's going to a complete bore and a totally predictable outcome.

Poll: Would this current Town team beat the current narwich team

Not sure whether Spurs will be looking at McKenna after yesterday.

(Ange, not Poch)

Gladly.

4 league matches this month.

3 of them drawn. Crawley (22nd in the league), Wigan (16th), Cambridge )24th).

That helps?

A blip for sure. But five pts clear of Wrexham and with a better goal difference doesn’t scream crisis.

Why would Spurs be looking at KM though? I mean (if Ange was to go) surely they’d do everything possible to get Iraola in. And failing that, Thomas Frank. KM would then be a possible target for Bournemouth or Brentford, but that’s a bit easier to fend off than Spurs.

KM probably not as sought after as last summer but non league Brentwood seems unlikely next step.

McKenna what big club wants him Spurs no chance unless we go on amazing run and save ourselves much rather go for Frank or Irola McKenna has done nothing this year to prove himself a premier manager.

Agree, there needs to be an end of season review and if he's not up for it stick him on gardening leave.

I really hope he pays back the loyalty and takes us back up.

We need to start planning now for life back in the championship and sell off and buy what we need early doors, there is half a team to rebuild.

The big risk for McKenna is staying and not getting us straight back up...that could harm his stock. I still think Brighton is the biggest threat as not really convinced by their guy. Maybe McKenna is 100% into the Town project - that scenario feels more and more likely to me now. And I would LOVE that.
