Triangle of Sadness it is then.

Nice one Dubbers, out there and perfect timing all things considered. Miss Slave loved it too.

Aftersun.

You'll be hugging each other afterwards and have a father / daughter moment.

I'll check it out although Miss Slave is her that knows best despite the lack of a ring!

Edit...she tells me we have seen it, I remember it now and it wasn't bad!

Everything Everywhere All At Once gets alot of recommendations, was on C4 this week so should still be on catchup I reckon.

definitely dont bother with Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Ive seen some trash monster movies which can be fun, but this is barely coherent, the old Toho movies at least tried for a semblance of a plot however ridiculous they were, Godzilla Minus One on the other hand is great.

Everything Everywhere is a good call.

Longlegs on Prime is a really good serial killer thriller, if you liked Se7en or Silence of the Lambs. A bit more eerie though.

Monkey Man on Sky/Now an excellent revenge thriller with Dev Patel kicking ass, with some interesting sociopolitical themes too.

It's right up there with my mother's description of James Cameron's Titantic as,

I’ve just watched Triangle of Sadness off the back of this. Yeah, a bit weird but good. Talk about saying the wrong thing at the end!

Thanks for the tip.

Best of ”newish” movies I personally enjoyed

The Covenant
Mank
Nightmare Alley
Widows
Arctic Void
The Rover

Here’s an old I watched recently and thought was excellent.
Peter Yates film The Robbery 1967!

We recently enjoyed Wicked little letters featuring Olivia Coleman and Timothy Spall. Also based on a true story.

Edit.

Keeping with Timothy Spall. The last bus is very good too.
