For someone who spends a lot of time accusing others of being rude or provocative you're rather rude and provocative.
You've offered nothing to the debate, just took a pop at other posters who have rightly highlight that that the post is nonsense.
SB
Half their posts are transparent attempts to wind up Town fans, the other half are having a pop (directly or indirectly) at other posters. They've spent a lot of time lately chasing Dollers around and having pops at him despite Dollers going through some pretty horrible stuff at the moment. Worst kind of troll, imo, I much prefer the ones that at least attempt to be amusing.

Forgot about Lambert! I stand corrected!
He did care about himself, a big fat five year contract and those legendary videos.
Yep, never had a manager so transparently been out for number 1 and number 1 only. We lucked our way to the top of League 1 and he used it to leverage a new deal, then basically checked out.

But he WAS trying to be amusing.

The players are giving their all. I know what it looks like when players don’t. Anyone witness McGiven/Lyall’s mob against Sheffield Weds or Jewell’s shower at the end of his time? That’s what not giving your all looks like.
You are right. We are not good enough. Some players have done well, others ok, some have struggled. I think the management team has struggled too. When I think about what I’ve witnessed in terms of the gap, it’s not surprising even if it’s massively disappointing. The other promoted teams have had a similar experience and that says a lot about the Premier League.
I’d hoped we’d improve as the season progressed. We haven’t really, but the opposition has. Off the pitch it’s not been seamless (seat disturbance from PL away allocations, 100+ projects, silly security queues outside) but given the task the ground has looked smart and the club has presented itself well.
It is what it is. We’ve come up short and I’m gutted about it like everyone else. For me, it’s not about picking on individuals and wasting energy on the blame game. it’s now about what can we take from the experience, analysing every aspect and moving the club and team forward.
We know what the PL is now. I don’t like it much, but it is the top of the professional pile so we of course want to be there and be the best we can be.
Lots to do and hopefully look forward to.
Assume you refer to that last game of the season away to Wednesday.
We are far better placed to bounce back this time, although it isn’t guaranteed.

No, I got it.
What you're missing is the historical context.
SB
80% of posts on this forum are made my 20% of the posters, so I (and the vast majority of forum members) can be forgiven for not getting the "historical context" of his post.
Either way, spending time on this forum is a far more enjoyable experience when people try to "play the post" rather than playing the poster. It's not easy sometimes, I know, but when Phil refers to the same long-term posters who needlessly take up his time, it's precisely this type of historical spat that he's referring to.
Like Frimley says, we don't have to agree. I think we just need to control ourselves a little better on those occasions when we don't agree.
Like I said, I'm not always innocent of this, but a) I'm sufficiently self-aware of the fact, and b) realistic enough to appreciate that people hold opinions which are very different to my own and I won't school them into conformity or silence.

People have played the post though.
Trust the process. Trust Phil.

I did play the post, I suggest you go back and read it all again with some more context.
Not entirely sure why you've decided to write an essay about this given two other posters have also given you the context. None of it would have happened if Chris hadn't made the attack on other posters.
It's him you should be directing your anger at given what you have outlined in your post and the fact you now know the context and it wasn't a joke as you thought.

You are probably much happier for it.
I must be. I'm completely bafflled by the reaction to some of the posts in this thread. I've been away from the forum for a while and I think I might be better for having done so.
I'm going to go back under my rock now or maybe check on the peaceful goings on of the draught excluder thread.

I know we're talking about the song reference. But as Stokie says, I'm missing the required historical context to get it.
It sounds like someone has stepped out of order but I'm not going to scour the last 2 weeks of the forum in order to understand how or why.
Apologies to anyone who feels offended by that, I just came on here to make it a better place but I appear to have stirred up a hornets' nest.
We seem to have our wires crossed (not sure if you're doing it deliberately). It's pretty obvious when you said to Stokie he hadn't got the reference you were referring to the song, I said everyone got the reference, now you've switch-a-rooed that to the poster history rather than the song.
Trust the process. Trust Phil.

I think we HAVE got our wires crossed. Nothing deliberate. Never mind, it doesn't matter.

No I said more than a couple months ago I didn't feel he cared.
I don't personally see a fight from him no.
If he tried something different then I'd feel different that's my evidence. I don't need you to agree.
That’s got to be the worst insult to a Town manager I’ve ever seen / read , what total garbage, why on earth would he care or try to, that’s a really careless statement to make , he is certainly more caring than a fair few who post garbage on this forum.
