Sorry to say it.....we need better than McKenna 15:49 - Mar 15 with 5428 viewsWarkystache

He's been brilliant but this just feels like capitulation.

We need better when we're back in the Championship or I genuinely think we'll be like Luton. We just go to pieces.

He may move on in the summer, Spuds or someone may take a chance on him but then again he hasn't done himself really any favours this season so maybe he will be with us next season.

Will have to see how things go and if we are mid table or worse in the Championship by December serious thought needs to be given a new manager.

I doubt it simply because he hasn’t proven himself in the PL.

I know that Kompany didn’t but he’s an anomaly.

There will no doubt be a review of the season and KM will shoulder a lot of the blame but I’ll be surprised if the owners lose faith in him. Come next season the expectations will be automatic promotion - if the team struggle then KM will be out of the door - but if we go up, then he’ll get another chance to prove himself.

At the moment, he still has time on his side.

Give it a rest, you're in no position to police the board.

I have every right to give an opinion.

Stop following me around - thought you frowned upon that.

That's my worry too, Danny Rohl for me. KM needs to take a year out or something, defensively he just doesn't have it.

Mid table championship manager, that one ? WTF

I like Danny Rohl, and he’d personally be my choice to replace McKenna as and when that time comes as he’s done an incredibly good job at Wednesday given the shambles above him, but anyone calling for McKenna to go at this time is just thick as mince.

Too many people on here get so defensive over KM. Are you saying he has done a great job this season then ? I honestly think a change is needed if we are to go up again and want to stay there. As well as he has done, this appears to be a step too far.

The state of some of you, it’s pathetic. Bunch of baby’s. We will be lucky if McKenna is still with us next season, I really hope he is.
This season was a step too far at this moment especially with the injury’s. The team has progressed too quickly, a backwards step was inevitable.

A year of championship football (if successful) we will be ready to compete in the prem.
we have a very good young squad with bags of potential.

FYI in my opinion if ogbenie and too a lesser extent burns, wasn’t out for the season so early we would have stayed up.

I don’t agree.

I’m as frustrated as the next fan and today was just gutless but I agree with Mick Mills on RS after, the mistake has been not signing enough PL quality at the back. I don’t believe all this “we are building a squad for next season” nonsense,it’s only been said since Xmas.

That’s the biggest mistake KM has made.

It’s going to be really tough to come back up quickly and if we do, we would need to have PL experience from day one.

You've progressed from infantile to junior since your last post, well done.

Hope you all had a lovely hug from mummy after all the flouncing on social media and at the ground yesterday.
We are still four points from safety, we can still be ok.
The end
