Now the pressures off and the players know our fate maybe we might see one or two wins before the end of the season which would be nice but either way can’t wait until next season , going to games every week fully expecting to lose or scrape a draw if we are really lucky isn’t fun , the step up is a lot bigger than I think most of us expected , go down with some pride hopefully then have an enjoyable season next year and in reality we should be in the top 2-6 all season even taking into account losing delap, Cajuste & Phillips plus maybe one or two others. The squad we will have will be plenty good enough again even taking into account whether we keep the manager or lose him we should still have a great season. Then next time we are in the PL we will do it without the need to make 13 new signings in a summer which was our main issue this season. Very disappointed that we aren’t good enough for the PL but very excited about the next few years! |  | | |  |

Nobody has said it'll be easy, although those sides all are/were miles clear of most of the rest of the league so while not easy there is usually a clear gap in quality between those with parachute payments and those without. That's all people are saying, next season we'll have big advantages in terms of finance and quality of squad and we'll rightly be amongst the favourites for promotion. |  |

Who is going to sign any of our players outside Delap and possibly Davis/hutchison ? No PL side would take a plunge on players who have proved already they are not premier league level! We wouldn’t sell them to championship sides as they wouldn’t be able to afford them and we don’t need to sell so overall the core nucleus of our current squad should still be in tact next season with some additions , that squad is more than good enough to be a top 2-6 championship side ! | | | |
