We probably all want them out of the champ but surely they have to sell like crazy going into their third season down if they were to lose in the playoffs?

Burnley and Shaff Utd are the top two in the form table with 13 points from their last 5. Leeds have 6 from 5 and lie 12th. They are all discussing which of Burnley or Sheff Utd will join Leeds in getting promoted!

What I don't get is the pundits.

It did look done and dusted after their result at the Blades. But then again it’s Leeds.

You’d struggle to back them in the playoffs wouldn’t you? The mental pressure after last season will be huge, and you never know when Meslier is going to throw one in his own net.
I do think they’ll make it across the line, but by Christ it would be funny if they imploded.

It's this pundit mindset of big club vs small club mentality. Leeds are perceived as the divisions " big club", ar the expense of all others. So they are perceived as the ones to beat - always. But 3 yrs in the championship would suggest they really aren't the Billy big bollox pundits think they are.
I di winder if this aura that surrounds some clubs, is why they are difficult to beat because opposition players almost subliminally give them too much respect. Bit like back in the day any challenge on a Liverpool player in the box was al.ist always given as a penalty.
You'd hope so but aren't Red Bull a minority shareholder now, they are going to have access to that full network of Red Bull resources now, that's going to make them a contender we could do without
Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Red Bull have a great diving team. They could teach them a thing or two about winning pens.
(Irrespective of the scantily clad young lass which seems to be the clickbait, this is nuts - look at the view from the top of the dive at 0:55 if nothing else 😳)

Or us in league 1 under Lambert when we made a good start. As soon as people had worked us out tactically and realised we weren’t as good as our reputation we were dreadful.

"Te he he!" to quote whichever Beano character it was who used to say "te he he".
Minnie the Minx?
I’ll laugh like hell if Leeds fall apart again. Their insufferable arrogance deserves it. Strange really as I get on really well with Yorkshire people including a good friend who is Dirty Leeds.

That’s the Championship, came down and still bought a side good enough to win the league and yet finished 3rd and not guaranteed to go up this season.
That’s why we need to be cautious and understanding should we not walk the league next season, nothing is ever guaranteed in the Championship. Well aside from Norwich getting goals given from offside positions and last minute winners!
An East Anglian Town overtaken by Londoners

Some people might remember that second-hand parka I wore during our 2023-4 promotion to the Prem season, which I didn't realise till late on had a small LUFC logo on the inside.
Chucked it in the bin (well a clothing bank one near Leeds anyway) on Friday :}

Couldn't agree with you more. Next season will be anything BUT a walk in.the park. The pressure will be very much on us to win every game. The pressure will come from within , as much as external. We've paid on average £20m per young player in this current squad, most of whom couldnt fight their way out of a wet paper bag. So what hope against Championdhip bully boys?
I really hope and pray that next season we don't start seeing that arrogant, pathetic HMS Piss the League, crap again. It makes us look like Leeds fans frankly.

I watched a lot of the Championship last season. Three of the best players I saw were J Clarke, Philogene and Omari. Davis too, of course. Add in Tom Daley-Dewsbury-Flipflop and the Leeds players all who’ve done zilch this season and there you have it. I can’t agree with your ‘wet paper bag’ comment. There’s no evidence whatsoever to support it in my view.
Obviously there will be some people moving on and hopefully one or two in, but hopefully we will challenge. I don’t think I’ve heard anyone using the cliche HMS P1ss the League either. Most people are not that dumb or arrogant.

If they do go up they'll be looking back fondly at draws against Swansea. Better than getting thumped every week, which after all is something Farke is very good at in the EPL.

Burnley still have to play Sheffield United, so in theory that gives the advantage to Leeds.
Where would Leeds be with Illan Mesliar in goal? About 10 points clear probably...

Not sure them drawing with each other, or one winning makes the case for a team on the form of 6 points from 5 games catching either of them when they are both on 13 from 5. If they draw they could both maintain that same form. It is the same lazy punditry that we saw last season where it was always "who will go up with Leeds?"
I think you mean with someone else in goal instead of Meslier. But don't forget he also saved a penalty yesterday. Like Muric, you get the good and the bad together. There are plenty of keepers who would not have improved them as well as some who would, I am sure. It is noteworthy that as much as Palmer clearly makes fewer errors than Muric, our form has been far worse with him than with Muric.
