Birmingham already promoted i see. 08:47 - Apr 9 with 1885 views | FromReuserWithLove | If they spent 30m in League One, i assume they plan to go large in the Championship. Wrexham could also be an interesting proposition. The Championship will be even more grueling next year i fear.
Birmingham already promoted i see. on 08:52 - Apr 9 with 1825 views | cvillageblue | Think they spent heavily in L1 so as FFP rules are different. They'll do well to make top 6. Wrexham - their team does include a lot of journeymen. I'd see them more like Sheff Wed or Plymouth.

Birmingham already promoted i see. on 08:54 - Apr 9 with 1811 views | Swansea_Blue | Maybe they could let them off the remaining games and get them to tidy up all that rubbish instead? They’ll go as large as PSR will allow them I expect. They’ll must be running at a hefty loss this year. I suspect they’ll have enough to be challenging and could emulate us.

Birmingham already promoted i see. on 08:55 - Apr 9 with 1789 views | portmanking | There's not really a lot in that starting XI which should strike too much fear, Stansfield and Willumsson aside. What I would say is that they've got a lot of physicality and height in their team. We do need to bolster our athleticism in the transfer market this summer hugely, based on who we're likely to lose.

The best thing for us (and the rest of the league) would be if they go too hard and make too many changes to their squad and lose the unity/momentum. If they start the season fast, they could easily do what we did though and be a real threat.

Most locals don't want it tidied up, as it will reduce their property prices . . .
Stansfield isn’t up to much really…. on 09:56 - Apr 9 with 1409 views | Bloots |

….loads of his goals come from penalties. I think he’d scored less than 10 goals from open play this season. Not a great return in the 3rd division. If it wasn’t for the price tag nobody would have noticed him.

Birmingham already promoted i see. on 10:33 - Apr 9 with 1238 views | bluesbrothers | Despite us experiencing it ourselves, it seems some people still don't understand the FFP rules in L1 and the Champ. They've gone big in L1 because they can, you can't really do the same in the Champ cause owner injected capital doesn't count (where as it does if not as a loan in L1)
Birmingham already promoted i see. on 10:57 - Apr 9 with 1143 views | Blue_Heath | Agree, I think one of if not both will be strong next season along with who misses out from current top four. For me it's really important McKenna commits early on, get the ins and outs done and get off to good start. If we can do that we should be OK. I do think a large part of our failure was the time wasted with the McKenna saga and lack of joined up thinking on the transfer front. £150m later I don't know what our best team and evidently neither does McKenna. I don't think promotion next year will be the walk in the park many think it will be. You'd have to say likely three from five (relegated trio, whoever loses play off in top four and Brum). Assuming no club is going to spend hugely, Coventry?

Absolutely. The appetite to talk about (and moan about) the rules is massive. The appetite to read the rules appears to be close to zero.
Birmingham already promoted i see. on 18:28 - Apr 9 with 608 views | Nutkins_Return | The championship will be strong next year but we are part of that. I expect us to have a good chance at being top of the pile but a lot of uncertainty on players and worse out manager end of the season.
