Depends on what you want but Marlow, Thame, Princess Risborough, some of the smaller villages around Wycombe are all nice. I personally wouldn’t want to live in Wycombe but some of the areas around it are very nice.

There are some exclusive parts of High Wycombe but the town itself is unattractive.

Went uni there for 3 years.
Avoid the town centre. It’s full of students and crackheads.
The outskirts (where we stayed in our second year) is very nice albeit bit more expensive |  |

I work just down the road in Maidenhead. As others have rightly said, High Wycombe itself isn't attractive as a place to live but there are plenty of villages and towns not far away and commutable by car (Thame, Henley, Marlow, Wargrave, Twyford etc) that are great. |  | | |

It is, and it's looking in magnificent shape for the new season already.
