A very fit 70 year old pal walked me up Cadair Idris (in Snowdonia) several years ago when I was in my mid 60's. Very steep, difficult but worth it - never again! |

Well done, I shall be there Sunday, well actually at the viewing point for the 4th(?) time in the last month before heading off.

I hate Facebook memories, they only remind me how miserable things are now 🤣
Mine are currently full of pictures of me here, ‘working’ for a month on full expenses:
Cadair is a nice lump. I used to come at it from the north when I lived in North Wales, it’s a very unspoilt approach over farmland. The south east side at the more popular car park is a lovely walk through the woods though, even if there are too many stairs! |  |

I remember going up Hellvellyn with my family when I was a teenager. We did go along Striding Edge and I remember it being quite scary. We made it safely up but my brother tripped and broke his arm on the way down on a grassy slope! |  |
