.....it was really satisfying that the play wasn't stopped (by us or the ref) for their player going down 'injured'.

So often those dirty tricks work, pleased to see it didnt this time.

Completely agree, although I wonder if the ref might get a slap on his wrist because Paterson did go down holding his head! A law that needs changing for next season, it's become a joke.

I'd like to see the rugby rule implemented - physios allowed to enter the field of play for a head injury while the game continues. And then you'd quickly see this silliness stop.

That's probably the solution to it, there's plenty of housery at the top level

I know it hasn't been a popular suggestion but a sin bin for the two soft yellow cards seems a pretty reasonable compromise

From memory Philips, Tuanzebe and I guess Johnson got very soft reds for us this season

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Add Harry Clarke who won the ball and was sent off due to a blatant dive.

In a game we may well have won at a time when confidence was building and we looking like getting points.

Gah that Brentford game is one of the most painful of the season for me. 2-0 and cruising. Should have seen that out. A(nother) sliding doors moment.

That game was a microcosm of our season.

- season ending injury to Ogbene - who looked very good
- sending off for 2 yellows, one of which probably wasn't a foul
- Muric making several outstanding saves to keep us in the game, but likely a mistake for the 4th
- a penalty against us that probably was, but could have easily gone either way
- denied by the post for an equaliser late on

On the other hand, when you look at what Brentford can do with a bit of momentum, is it really a surprise they pulled it back to 3-2 so easily?

Same at Chelsea, 2-0 looks great but in reality you're not cruising at that scoreline.

2 : 0 = dangerous scoreline. A statement that often get's mocked but is truer than many realise.

We missed an absolute sitter to make it three and we were playing like a proper KM Town side.

I've said it before, I'm disappointed that the PFA don't speak out more about this clutching-the-head cheating. These rules were sensibly brought in to protect their members, perhaps even save their lives, and almost immediately the players started using them to cheat. The PFA needs to do more to remind their players that they have a duty to the game and to the spectators who fund it. (The PFA seems to have a very low profile these days.)

The PFA don't care about the game or the supporters, just the players.
