Carl Rushworth… on 18:25 - May 16 with 2354 views | TresBonne | Would be a good signing but do we need him? Palmer an able GK and Walton a brilliant no2. If we shifted Walton and brought him in I wouldn't be against it.
Carl Rushworth… on 19:13 - May 16 with 2151 views | portmanking | I had heard Leeds were sniffing around him, as he's a West Yorkshire lad. Would probably rule us out, as much as I'd be happy with it.

I agree - don’t think a new keeper is really needed. If Slicker goes out on loan I can see the club getting a veteran in as third choice. But that’s about it regarding keepers.
Carl Rushworth… on 19:31 - May 16 with 2026 views | Swansea_Blue | I agree with other comments. He’d be surplus to requirements if we keep Palmer (which I’m not convinced we will) and Walton. It’d be a waste for him and us.

Absolutely we need a new keeper, and in my opinion it should be up there with a top target. I think Palmer has been ‘okay’ but if we’re going to go back to dominating the ball in this division and starting attacks off by playing out from the back, I’m not sure he’s up to the job. We have a habit of going back for old targets, and should we get promoted again, we would go in to the Prem with a keeper already in place, rather than relying on some dodgy website to sort it for us again. I’d happily keep Palmer as number 2, Slicker out on loan and sell/loan Muric and Walton.

He’s no Hladky, but Rushworth is pretty good with his feet. He struggles to dominate his area at set pieces at times (or at least it looks that way to me after seeing him a lot when he was over here on loan). I liked him though. We won’t fob of Palmer unless he wants to leave though. Any idea why Rushworth wasn’t used by Hull during his loan spell this year? They’re carp and I don’t think he got much of a look in at all.

Yeah, I can definitely see us being interested if the price is right. Don’t think McKenna would miss the opportunity to sign him, and we do have a knack of going back for those we don’t get the first time around. I don’t think we’d fob Palmer off, if anything he’d be the one that stays and competes with the other 3 going. Not sure to be fair, think they signed a keeper from abroad and he ended up being the number 1.

Carl Rushworth… on 20:37 - May 16 with 1658 views | burnbudgiesburn | If we are thinking of investing in a keeper who is good with his feet then for me Rushworth isn't the guy and i'd be keener to give Muric a chance to establish himself in a side where he isn't under attack 80% of the time. He was so bad with his feet for Swansea in his last appearance that the Portman Road crowd were mocking him. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Carl Rushworth… on 21:12 - May 16 with 1465 views | SuffolkPunchFC | Not an upgrade on Muric really. Certainly for next season. If (and it’s still an if) Muric leaves, it could make sense - but in that case we could do better.

Pal.er.waa arguably the best goalkeeper in the Championship. I'm absolutely baffled that his is a position that needs attention. To be perfectly honest Muric would be a quality championship keeper and Walton is good enough as well.

You mean like Burnley did with Muric in goal?
Carl Rushworth… on 22:46 - May 16 with 1095 views | itfcsuth | Would only be needed if we lost 2 of Walton, Muric, Palmer. Not beyond the realms of possibilities, but seems an unlikely priority for us.

Think we need to play a slightly different way rather than tippy tippy at the back yes we may able to do in the championship But if we go up we won't so have another way of getting results. Palmer is fine.

Or alternatively improve our ability to play out from the back whilst we’re in the Championship, so we’re more effective at it when we next get promoted.
