My youngest has today won the harp event at the Urdd Eistedfodd (national youth cultural festival of Wales). Anyone who knows Wales knows the Eistedfodd is a massive thing in this part of the world, so we’re as proud as punch. I hope you excuse the self-indulgence, but here’s the winning performance if anyone is interested:
Llongyfarchiadau mawr iddi!!! I hope she goes on to be successful. Took part a lot in the Eisteddfod as a child and was due to attend this week but could mot make it. Such a great festival. Congratulations to you as parents and a family also.
That was superb. Well done to young Swanners. Does she know that in addition to winning the event, she's probably also got the highest number of uppies this week on the best ITFC forum...?
It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

Diolch yn fawr. It seemed to go pretty well this week, so a shame you couldn’t make it. I’ve got a love hate relationship with it. The event itself is fine, but whenever I’m with my Mrs or her parents it takes us 20 minutes to walk 50 yards, as they stop to talk to everyone. You realise how small the community is when you’re there. She’s done well though. Her mum won on the harp once, so it must be in the genes.
