Norwich is a Fine City...... self- declared

I know this because it tells us this on the "Welcome To" signs....

'A Fine City' is actually a quote from a book, I believe - yes, a quick google search says so.
I lived in Norwich for 20 years and despite being a proud Suffolk lad, begrudgingly love the place. It's just the right size, beautiful cathedral, historic castle, great pubs.
Of course, football is a different matter and I loved Derby day. Wonderful times.

4 might not be though. I've just suggested that we don't need to worry if our summer signings can cut it in the prem, and insinuated that we shouldn't sign anyone in the summer after being promoted to the prem.

You misunderstood the term "Fine"

a monetary penalty imposed by a court or other authority for a crime or offense

I.e.
Whistling on a Tuesday
Walking on the cracks in the pavement
Possession of an offensive wife
Wearing a loud shirt in a built up area
Not having 6 fingers per hand
Not having relations with relations
Etc

uberima fides

I like Norwich. Nice place. Got a castle, cathedral and a market.

To improve it 100% just get rid of that eyesore with yellow seats on the south east side. Turn it into something useful like a trophy winning recycling centre/tip.

Although, unlike Trump, they are mostly right. It’s a very nice city. I’ve no idea why, but it was always better than Ipswich for shops and had some nice pubs and restaurants and lovely buildings. I haven’t been for a while though some could be a bit out of date. Don’t get me wrong, I like Ipswich as well. Despite everyone seemingly moaning about the place, Ipswich’s and Norwich are amongst the more desirable places to live. Come and have a look at the arse end of the old industrial areas around South Wales and then you appreciate east Anglia.

I do have a soft spot for Cheltenham in your (sort of) neck of the woods though. Went to college there and fell in love with the place the first time I went. It feels like home more than anywhere else despite only living there 3 years.

Did three days a week in Cheltenham some years ago for 18 months. It’s a smashing area. Really lovely, as indeed is a lot of the West Country. Did a stint working in Cardiff for a few months too - liked it a lot.

Love Yorkshire, Peak District, the South West - there’s loads of nice places in this country, all distinctive and different.I’ve lived in Kent most of my working life and beyond. It, Sussex and Hampshire all get the thumbs up.

But I’ve spent the week in Suffolk with Mrs C just tooling around. There’s nowhere I feel more comfortable and at home than here.

Looking at thus, I'd say Town's prospects were much brighter than theirs, and the article doesnt include the additional funding we get from those venture capital owners....
