Managers don't have release clauses. They have compensation that needs to be paid, and that is related to the manager's contract. KmK's is likely to be pretty sizable as he has a valuable long term contract with most of it still to run. | | | |

No evidence that McKenna has a similar step-down or that managers in general have that type of clause.

Something that's never mentioned is he comes from a community that really values loyalty. Not just tokenism or platitudes, but genuinely does. It might just be that when he signed that contract he actually intended to see it through, just a thought. He's not under paid or under valued where he is. Maybe he wants to achieve what he was given a contract to achieve. | | | |

Generally speaking clauses are lowered when players or managers drop down a level (negotiated in by the player / manager), so they can in theory leave more easily to a team in a higher division comes knocking. See Delap for example…. Chances are he would have had a higher clause if we survived in the prem | | | |
