Quite likely obviously but if you could hand pick your start, that wouldn't be far off I would imagine.

They should make it a proper throwback and play each other twice in the space of two or three days.

You mean like this? 1951 Christmas Day: home vs. Norwich (lost 2-0) 1951 Boxing Day: away vs. Norwich (lost 2-0) 1957 Good Friday: away vs. Norwich (won 2-1) 1957 Easter Monday: home vs. Norwich (won 3-1)

Sunderland 1-2 West Ham Burnley 1-1 Sunderland Sunderland 0-0 Brentford Early prediction, 2 points, 2 goals and that’s from 2 from 3 at home. As we know, even teams like Brentford and West Ham, although not likely to challenge the Top 5 are very difficult to get anything from.

They might get 2 home wins on the board in first 3 games. Imagine

Premier League fixtures on 12:28 - Jun 18 with 1365 views | smithy91 | Whilst it would be good for one of the teams to stay up, I dearly hope Leeds fans get knocked down a peg or two early doors. Hearing alot of noise that they are going to do so much better than this years relegated three on name alone.

How early do you think we can sing. Leeds are falling apart again?
Premier League fixtures on 13:33 - Jun 18 with 1147 views | TheBoyBlue | I do sometimes wonder how differently things might have panned out if we'd started with someone like Palace or Wolves when they were pants. Of course we still would've gone down as we would've needed one of those teams to stay pants and the newbies this year will have to hope that one of the established 17 mess it up big time this season, but perhaps we wouldn't have spent those first few weeks and months chasing our "first Premier League win 22 years" or our "first win at Portman Road in the Premier League since 2002" which all became a bit of a distraction I think. Maybe we would've built up enough points to still be in with a shout of staying up at the end of the season.

Well pick up enough points to climb above Wolves tho. Once cuhna gets his ban. We’ll be laughing

Burnley should be an easy game, playing another promoted team is always easy as we found against Southampton last season.
Premier League fixtures on 15:40 - Jun 18 with 822 views | ParisBlue | On reflection our start didn't help us, we played well those first few games carrying on how we'd played for the previous 2 years. Against Liverpool only Delap and Greaves (+ Omari) were new signings and we were pretty good for 60 mins. Had we had a more friendly start I reckon we might have picked up a few more points and finished 18th at least.

Last August was rather insane: we were all high on promotion fumes. Worrying if a 36k stadium would be big enough for us. Safely staying up. Even some shouts of getting into Europe. It’s a hard knock life.

Exactly, as we found out sides we thought we had a chance against we still couldn’t lay a glove on them. Wet Ham - lost home and away Brentford - lost home and away 2pts gained against fellow promoted sides. I’d like to see one of the promoted sides make a better fist of staying up than the last two seasons.

leeds are probably better placed than any of the last 6. still probably needs at least one of the 17 to have a shocker though if they're going to stay up...
