Henry Gray 23:58 - Jun 18 with 2143 views | Sharkey | Now back from his loan at Braintree (Young Player of the Year), so it will be interesting to see what the club feels is best for him next. He's two and a bit years younger than Slicker. (In slightly related news, nice to see that Alan Judge has been retained by Braintree.)

Henry Gray on 07:02 - Jun 19 with 1863 views | SheffordBlue | I think there's a good chance that Slicker goes on loan and Gray stays as the the third choice/training keeper this season. It's still relatively easy to get an emergency loan in for a goal keeper if the first choice or back up keeper were to be out for any length of time. At 20 keeping him here this season would free up a squad slot as he wouldn't be counted.

I think you'll find that he plays for New Zealand...

I think you'll find that Scotland aren't that fussy.

Would seem very sensible to do it this way, he's had excellent loan spells at both Chelmsford and Braintree and looks like he could be the real deal. A year around the first team here, or a loan to L1 or L2 is next step in his development and as you say the extra squad spot is important and Slicker has to go on loan somewhere

From talking to people at the club, he and Williamson are very much at the same sort of stage, so will be interesting if either of them are viewed as the third man next season. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Is Gray one you spoke about a few weeks back, saying he looked physically more ready than Slicker is currently? Vaguely remember a post about the keepers

Think you could say that about both Gray and Williamson for looking more physically ready and what I like a GK to look like, but Gray played more at a higher level

I think you're getting him confused with Alan Ruff.
