I think there might be concerns for both the player and Brighton over playing time. Like many of the players Greaves struggled at times last season but he was in the team of the season in that LCB role last time in the Championship and it seems likely he'll be our starting LCB this season. |  |

Think it's unlikely, unless we lose someone. I don't think he'd be first choice here with our current options and Brighton won't want to loan him out to somewhere that he's not going to get much game time. |  |

They only signed him 6 months ago for 10M.
Surely would have been one we were all over last summer if he was a genuine target.
Broadly speaking this type of signing is everything I hate about the football food chain. He's 23 will be 24 in Nov so just a year younger than Greaves and after starting for Derby for three and half years he's now just another squad body in an elite Prem squad that will be sold for profit after a few loans.
23/24 - Starts 43 games in League 1 for Derby
24/25 - Starts 21 games in Champ for Derby up until Jan
10M to Brighton - Plays 18 minutes total across 17 available games
Van Hecke, Dunk, Webster all ahead of him. They will see how he plays in pre-season and then loan him to the top end of the championship for a couple of years before selling on. | | | |

Good player. But small and no pace. I think he really makes the most of what he has got but he doesn't have the raw materials for top champ/Prem.

Sounds like a great option, would give very good competition and depth, clearly a very decent championship defender and good on the ball.
