Is anyone else bored of the extent to which Trump dominates the news cycle? 18:41 - Jun 24 with 781 views | Dubtractor | It's like our entire news feed now has to be fed through the lens of Trump. It's a bit tedious tbh. I get covering major events in America with reference to him, but not EVERY story on Ukraine/Russia or Israel/whoever they are fighting today needs to be accompanied by whatever horse sh1t he's just posted on social media. We all know by now that most of what he says is lies or exaggeration, so why does our media keep amplifying him?

The world and it's media need to look more at his authoritarian provocation of violence and cruelty than his latest post

Yep, everything in this country now seems to need a Reform/Farage angle to it.

Be fair to the poor little lambs. They only won 0.7% of the seats at the last election. How else are they supposed to get a majority next time if the press don’t give them 80% of the coverage? 🤪

Keeping himself at the top of the news agendas is, after all, one of his main aims. It's all about "the ratings".

Agreed. Sadly, we’re stuck with the show. It was bliss when he left office last time. You can almost become inured to constant noise and only fully appreciate the peace/calm when he’s gone (it was with Johnson to a degree, and now Farage is back filling that role in the UK).

Is anyone else bored of the extent to which Trump dominates the news cycle? on 20:14 - Jun 24 with 512 views | Nthsuffolkblue | Trump is the leader of the Western world so it isn't that much of a surprise. He is also an attention-seeking egotistical soundbite merchant so plays 100% to the modern media. I did find it interesting that the first news bulletin I heard today was about how wonderful he was for arranging the ceasefire. The second was about how both sides had broken the ceasefire within minutes and how Trump was mouthing off over them both. The third was how Trump had forced the ceasefire to be back on. Typical modern world lurching from one extreme to the other repeatedly.

Yes - he should've served as a wake up call that politics was going in a bad direction and that was first time around. Unfortunately the good old USofA fell for his conjuring tricks; he says something, then says something else contradictory. While they listen to his voice, his hands are moving unnoticed... Classic sleight of hand. As for wars, he only understands "the deal", not a people valiantly defending their land against invasion (Ukraine), his plan for Gaza or what makes Iranian supreme leaders "tick'. However should the elderly Trump pass away it opens the door for JD Vance who comes across as way more loony and decades younger. Sometimes that ELE from space seems preferable...

This is the issue. By the media hanging on his every tweet, we’re exposed to the full idiocy of his impulsivity. You get dizzy trying to keep up with all his U-turns and changes of focus. And I’m sure the relentless noise is part of the plan. You’re going to forget that he’s a felon who encouraged a literal coup, or an accused paedophile, or that he’s locking up innocent brown people (over 50,000 so far) when he starts bombing Iran.

My memory was jogged by watching "Team America: World Police" again for the first time in 20! years and seeing his pop again.
