Can we now go for Brandon?

Absolutely mental that anyone wants us to take a gamble on him at the moment.

0% chance. A lot of faith/trust was put in to him and he didn't play ball so to speak

Depends how much of a gamble it actually is.

£30K a week and a 5 yr deal and a promise of starting every game? Best not.

If he's prepared to sign on the cheap and accept he won't be starting unless he's earned it? Why not. Good value bet.

I’d take him at the drop of a hat.

He’s got terrific legs and he’ll certainly liven the place up.

Edit - apologies, I’ve only just seen there’s another Super Brandon thread.

No reason why not but would need a lot of fitness work! Would certainly divide opinion.

Phil says he’s been training with Macclesfield.

He came in on loan so I dont think he'd have been seen as a mainstay of the side somehow. He let down his parent club hence they've let him go. I wouldn't object to us giving him a second chance here personally. Obvs not on a long term deal but I'm sure Brandon himself would understand that. If he's learned from his mistakes and can keep focused on his game, then he could be a valuable asset. It would be a shame to see a lad with talent fall by the wayside. But its 100% on Brandon to turn it around for himself if he gets a chance.

And exactly the sort of bet we do not need to make.

Really can't see us taking any chances this season. Seen talk of Humphreys and Baggott in the squad.

For me, those two along with Williams will be replaced with a solid experienced back up.

Truly impaired.

Squad place would be the issue so don't think we can 'gamble' especially given our injury history in last 12 months and we have more games this season!

You need to think outside the box.

McK is brilliant but it’s probably as boring as feck with all his rules.

Brandon knows him from old and probably knows the gaps. He could slip out and about with the other players as he knows the blind spots.

Complete football and complete harmony.

I'd have him with strict specific contractual points regarding off field behaviour.

My preference would be to go for Lakenheath, Mildenhall, or Mundford - ahead of Brandon.

He was speaking about training with his mate that he did the podcast with and he was with Macclesfield.
