I’ve stayed out of this as I’d not listened to anything before today, but have had R6 on this afternoon listening to their supposed highlights and a bit of live stuff. Bloody awful lol. We’ve just had about half an hour of nondescript jazzy trumpets and then some band where the lead singer was tone deaf. OK, live can always be a bit iffy vocally when they don’t have the studio to cover imperfections, but she was awful (I don’t know who it was).
I’m assuming R6 just does the fringe ‘arty’ stuff, as it wasn’t at all up my street (but then I have appalling music taste and like squealing guitars!). |  |

Caught a couple of songs by someone called Beabadoobee (yes, that's the right spelling) yesterday and was impressed. Never heard of her, but see she's got 23m monthly listeners on Spotify so just confirms I'm out of touch. Will be definitely be listening to some of her stuff though, she was actually good. | | | |
