There has been a slight, not deliberate, but subconscious writing off of Sam recently. Another year notched up mainly as he ages but he will still, for me, be the first name on the team sheet as we start the season. He will likely be phased slowly over the next 12-18 months but he will still be huge for us on and off the field for a little while yet. |  |

Morsy been brilliant and agree still has a big role to play next season but I really think he can’t be an automatic starter all season. We must have other options and look to replace him in games. I’d rather have a fresh Morsy playing 10-15 games less than rely on him in every game. |  | | |

I fear some people are starting to disregard him in a disrespectful manner. Yes, the club continues to develop at a rapid pace and we may outgrow players like Sam in the near future, however what he's done for the club should never be forgotten.

A legend and sadly his last season with us as a player. I'm not even convinced he'll be here come the season end. If the new midfielders rumoured do arrive, I can see him being pushed to the subs bench and at his age I can him wanting to play.

We're entering a period that will see a changing of the guard, but it won't be overnight, and Morsy will have a lot to contribute next season. He's still going to be very strong for the Championship - he's just not going to be a significant part of the team once we return to the premiership. | | | |
