If we're reliant on Man United being competent in negotiating a transfer, we might be in luck!

The Mbeumo negotiations have been going on for weeks!

Thinking out loud so I’ll apologise now

If I were OH and the clause if there is one is met by Brentford would I really see that as a destination ? Keith Andrews or Keiran McKenna bit of a no brainer , yeah I know Premier League and all that. I think he’ll want / expect AN Other club

Now this is my worry , it’ll only take one club to hit the release clause and those looking on who are interested will then have to raise their heads above the parapet or risk losing out and I think that’s what maybe OH would like to happen ….if he were indeed looking at moving

Yes but I thought the same with Tuanzebe and yet off he goes. Cajuste too, to an extent, although that isn't over the line yet.

It seems PL football *NOW* trumps potential PL football next season even if it means bouncing around clubs each season like a journeyman.

Short careers

Imagine town didn't get back up this season but either of those players stayed and had a bad season, their time in the prem might never come again.

It's not rocket science though, is it?

More money in the EPL v less money in the championship
Playing PL football v playing championship football
Worldwide coverage/exposure v relative obscurity outside of people who follow EFL
Challenging yourself against some of the best sides in the world v playing the likes of Oxford
Potential England call up v unlikely to be called up playing in the championship

Even if town went up next season the likelihood is that he'd be moving on rather than wanting another season battling relegation, whereas if he moves to Brentford then he'll have another year of top flight football and could move to a huge club afterwards

Yes, it is. But I haven't seen anything which could be considered confirmation, especially on the value - which seemed to start with an assumption of his worth on here, afterwards picked up by a couple of web commentators.

I think it would be fair to take it as being correct.

Lots of Town fans writing Brentford off. I can understand it but logically there's no reason to. They will have *planned* to sell their stars and will have had a succession plan in place for Frank. And to stay up, all they need to do is beat Leeds, Burnley, and Sunderland. Doesn't sound that tricky does it?

London club, they play good football. Omari does two years there and moves to a top six club. Sadly, it's an absolute no brainer.
