Match ticket prices announced 13:54 - Jul 24 with 1460 viewsHungryLikeTheWoolf

Does feel like prices have crept up a fair bit over the past few years, especially factoring in the £44 membership that you'll probably need to get a chance of a ticket for a lot of games..

As expected - “we need to put them up for the Premier League”, but of course no similar reduction on relegation.

Basically £40+ for most tickets to any game of significance. Ouch.

Absolutely, they were pushed up last season on the back of being Premier League. Last season SBRL £38 (cat A), £34 (cat B) with £2 reduction for members (so £36 and £32).

This season, same price but no £2 reduction.

23/24 there were 3 categories at £26, £28, £30 again with £2 reduction (so £24, £26, £28).

In short, watching Watford (assuming that was cat b in 23/24) has increased from £26 to £34, a 30% increase.

As expected, same price for blocks A/B as we're charging Brum fans in V1/V2 (believe they have to follow suit).

Ouch is my first thought too! No category C price and it appears no discount for members.

I’ve long accepted feeling ripped off for a visit home. I think I paid £45 for me and my nephew for the West Ham dead rubber in upper Churchmans.

The pricing of away fans is scandalous and the regulator should enforce a cap by division amongst other things.

I’m not sure if I’m pissed off with the club, or just irritated I know I have no choice but to pay it. Even a discount for buying the membership would be a nice touch, but the demand is there so why should the club care?

The supporters club should be frothing at this and holding the club to account.

Here we go !

Let the blubbing commence 🤣🤣🤣

What does everyone really expect ? £40 to see a decent level of football is about right. Non league clubs charge £20 nowadays.

If you want to see top players then you pay for it.

Your right, long gone are the days of £25-£30 tickets, £35-£40 is the new norm.

I mean everything else in life seems to have increased 25-30% in the past year/18 months, so why not ticket prices?

Just because it seems to be the British way doesn't make it right.

(Theoretically) I could get a standing ticket for Ipswich v Norwich for £43, pay £26 to go and watch Barnet play, or get a standing ticket for (say) Bayern v Dortmund for €15 ( https://tickets.fcbayern.com/documents/en/pricelist.pdf ).

The complaining about ticket prices is completely and utterly justified.

Would reason that you’d expect to pay less to watch a lower level of football then wouldn’t it?

Compared to many these prices are in my view really goood value. Take one look at Wednesday for example to see how fans are being ripped off. Or head to Man U when they are looking at charging fans the small price of £4000 just to reserve a seat for season ticket in their new ground.

Yeah, no one has highlighted that or complained about it being disgusting from either club…..

I’m sure the Man U option will kick off. Talksport were not complementary about it, but then we all know the owner cares nothing for the fans - to him it’s about getting tourists in and making money. Same for Wednesday . I like to think our owners/CEO have more respect for our fans than that

From what I can see, adult prices for non-members is unchanged, but the £2 members discount has gone.

Non-member prices for U23 & U21 has actually gone down, and the a couple of Premium Seating ticket class has increased £1.

You'd hope so but, at the same time, they cannot not have considered the likely impact on Town fans of the reciprocal pricing that will most likely come about as a result of our extortionate away pricing.

Nice straw man there.

You claimed that you need to pay top prices to see top players - the evidence proves that to be utter BS.
