I LOVE Omari’s ability to win the ball off opponents. His work-rate off the ball goes largely unrecognised I feel, and with Phillogene’s performance last night on the left, the thought of having these two young players left and right playing in that manner will be a sight to behold. If he does stay, that would be fantastic, as we know we will get some injuries in those positions ( as per last season). He really could make the difference in so many matches in the championship.
However, we do have excellent cover in those positions, so if he did leave and we were able to use the money to buy a decent ST and CM (plus possibly another back up CM), then it may be better for the team overall.
I would be sad to see him go though, because I think he'd be phenomenal this season. |  | | |

Agree to disagree on that. It will take more than a good 60 minutes against Aberdeen to convince me he's worth the hype and £20m we paid.
But bottom line is I'll love to be proved wrong. If he's the 2024 levels of Hutch that means we're almost certain to finish top 2. | |

Might not be popular, but Hutch was hardly a prolific goal-scorer or even goal assister. We can get by without him. If we sell, we're selling both the player he is now and his potential. So we should be getting more than what he can deliver now. Omari will only be missed if we misspend the money we get for him. Bring in 2-3 quality players for the Omari money and we'll be ahead of the game. | | | |

And this. I'm still off the view he will stay for the year. He has such to develop under KMK and signed a long contract. KMKs press release seemed to support that and I think if he was going he would be more cagey - like he has been with other players, but he said he should feature in pre-seasons and will be an important player. If we were selling, he wouldnt feature as they'll be protecting their asset.
If he develops, and if we don't go up, he can get a bigger and better transfer than Brentford IMHO
