Wonder if this is the year Brentford crumble on 06:13 - Jul 26 with 1800 views | RIPbobby | The frustrating thing for me is last season the 3 promoted sides were up against 17 solid sides who were future proofing. This year Brentford are looking like a team set for a poor season and I still think west ham looks fragile. Why could this not all happen 12 months ago.

Unfortunately as soon as these teams struggle they get a new manager who sorts them out because all these squads at their best are just too far ahead of what the promoted teams can muster. In West Ham's and Everton's cases it's normally just a sticking plaster, but it's enough. And in the case of teams like Brentford and Brighton it almost doesn't matter who the manager is, they're just guiding the 'project'. Hopefully I'm wrong as English football needs at least one of the promoted teams to stay up. Not to mention if we go back up it would help our cause that we don't just go back to the same established 17 being even stronger.

The Ipswich way, equally the previous two years we would have won the league most years. And on to this season, again it's gonna be tough.

Exactly, Brentford won't mess around, Andrews will be gone by Christmas if it looks like they're struggling and replaced with a Portuguese/Spanish/German coach.

Exactly this.... When Wolves were falling apart last year they made a very good choice for their replacement manager and he steered them to safety When we are in Prem next season, we need any struggling established prem side to make a rubbish pick for a replacement....we need them to be unlucky

Not sure about that. A year ago, Wolves had finished the season with 1 win in 10 under a relatively inexperienced manager, then sold Max Killman and Pedro Neto in the summer, their two best players (arguably). Its not entirely different to the instability that is being speculated about Brentford. Whilst Forest had also stayed up with a low points total and were going through another turnover of players again. Arguably, this season is much harder, as all of those other 17 are going into a 4th straight year of PL money and whilst Brentford look to be going through some change, they have also shown themselves to be massively stable and well run, so there are far from any guarantee it will impact them (although I agree they look under threat). West Ham have a new manager whos had 6 months to settle in and still have some brilliant players in the squad.

I am amazed nobody's gone in for Joao Gomes from Wolves. Best player to play at PR last season, absolutely phenomenal.
