They’ll go back. I reckon £32m might do it for them.
No sure they are in a position to turn down that kind of money.

Not surprised, they are GBP73M short aren't they?

Makes me positive that they won’t come in for Hackney if they could get him for much less than they’ve bid.

I'm wondering why any prem club would go for Hackney when Brownhill is a free agent

I know Brownhill apparently wants this big signing on fee but it'll still be cheaper than Hackney

Its that or they have reached the max for Dibling so Hackney plan B. Who would bid their highest price anyway 1st time, nobody EVER does that when they bid so surely they will go back in again at least once more. Hackney must feel we really want him and a big part of the plans so game time a certainty if he performs in training.

But I thought they wanted Douglas Luiz too.

Why would Hackney be plan B? They play in entirely different positions, more likely they come for Omari.

They’re very different players. Doubt you’d think we didn’t get an attacking winger so we’ll go for a deep lying playmaker instead.

If Hutch is supposedly worth £40m, then £27m seems low for Dibling.

I thought the same, feels like a lowball offer to test where they might accept.
I’ve seen £40m mentioned somewhere, so you would think somewhere between 30 and 40.

I confess I did think the same, even though they are different positions, Everton are just very low on numbers full stop.
Like most have said though, surely they would have bid by now if they were interested.

I stand corrected apologies you are right different positions, but Everton I don't think have 35+ for Dibling and 20 for Hackney do they as still managing budgets for PSR reasons?

Has Brownhill ever been anything more than competent in the premier league? He’s a known commodity, and that’s not a dig at Brownhill. where as Hackney is unknown whilst that comes with risk he could be more competent in the premier league and has resale value. Brownhill at 29 and a supposedly 15 million sign on fee doesn’t really.

Correct, I'm flabbergasted we have our eggs in one basket again, Brownhill is the one if we're chucking that money about,

That true but if we get three good years out of him and he gets up that's peanuts

The original question was why wouldn’t a prem club go for Brownhill instead of Hackney.

I'm pretty sure selling the Women's team is to stop them being is PSR trouble, not give them a sudden £50m headroom for Dibling and Hackney.

I think £27m is low for Dibling. But Hutch is only worth £40m if someone is willing to pay that for him, and so far I don't think we have any concrete evidence that they are. Given that anyone could have had a bid accepted for him at £35m, I don't see why they would be willing to pay £40m. (Yes I understand the point about instalments, but it surely wouldn't cost you £5m in borrowing costs to pay the £35m up front).

Sorry, did I hear you right? You mean we can only look at 1 player at a time ? We have no idea who MA is talking to daily and which players we are interested in. I do wonder how some people function daily.

Wonder how long it will be before someone (chelsea) sell their academy to themselves.

I get that, depends when they sold it, it was announced this week but did they sell it before the end of June then that would give them headroom to spend as they have rich owners now,
