Pre season results mean nothing, we've had campaigns where we've lost every match and then started the season like a rocket, and also won every game in pre-season and then be awful.

Delap and Hutchinson I was resigned to losing well before the end of last season. Omari was always going to be off, let’s be honest, people were kidding themselves.

I was very much expecting two 8 figure purchases this summer not just Matusiwa and the loan market. Hackney was clearly the attempted huge splash and is a major blow, big few weeks for Ashton now. We are in an unprecedented financial position in our recent history to really need to make the most of while KM is still here.

Davis sounds like a minor injury. Young has played plenty of football there if we need short term cover. Humphreys can play there too. Injuries happen, that's why you have a squad. Everyone knows we need one of two in CM and one up front. There's four weeks of the transfer window left to get those players in. Dry your knickers, fam.

I wish the transfer window ended on Friday. We'd probably keep Hutchinson if so.

People need to realise the transfer window runs until 31st August.....29 days away.

Yes we have 4 league games to navigate before it ends. We have a decent enough team to do well.

Young can play left back. We have options at right back. Let's not panic......until at least after the first game.

I was thinking that’s Austrian top division, Scottish top division and French top division sides we’ve seen off comfortably and we look in great shape and ready to have a cracking season.Even without Hutch, Hackney and Cajuste.

We will have to see how easy that is in theory and how many of our targets are still available. Plenty of business is done late though and the loan market is obviously going to be utilized. I think it’s clear the management team will be bitterly disappointed with the Hackney decision though, we were clearly all in there.

There’s a few that stalk me and hit the down button. I must have upset them in a past life lol.

Everyone was expecting a couple of really sizeable fees for players in, surely. Not that always means success but anyway, a month to go is the glass half full I guess. It’s too nice to waste away a Saturday afternoon on TWTD. Time to get outside!
