Gus Hamer anyone? 11:57 - Aug 6 with 2568 viewsEricsGate

With Jens and Akpom almost there i'd love us to go after this guy!!

Valued at around 15M

28 years old

Averages a goal every 5 games in the championship and a proper baller!!

Can't understand why we haven't revisited this (apart from age perhaps)

Poll: Positive or Negative towards Paul Cook..,?

I think there are more than a few questions about his fitness levels. Not sure we'd want to risk that much of a fee on him.

Off to PSV isn't he?

Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…

I would be surprised if Sheffield United would sell him to a rival promotion team.

He and Brownhill are proven top table players in this league. If we want to go absolute safety first on promotion then either would be a no-brainer, but maybe not good value as a consequence, and maybe not with the potential development ceiling we're after.

*And maybe not interested in us.

Brownhill already offered a £15m package by another club (£100k pw wages), so think that puts us out of the running...

Poll: My morning poo-poo took 3 flushes to clear. Who do I call?

I had him as one of the two I wanted us to sign at the beginning of this window. Sheif was the other. Hamer would be absolutely brilliant here. Very good player.

Poll: New hobby suggestions for NeedhamChris.

Who is offering him that sort of money and, if they were, why the fool hasn't he signed the deal yet?!

206 league games in 5 years in english football suggests otherwise.

I was on about his love for a kebab rather than games missed. He's totally cooked by around the 70 minute mark when I've seen him play recently (admittedly that's not very much at all), and looks to be carrying an extra pound or too!

Is he related to Phil’s ban hammer ?

Poll: Is it an issue for you that the new England manager is foreign ?

No I think he's got decent fitness. Thats not fat that's his natural build. Bit like Morsy in some ways who was exceptionally fit as well.

Either way let McKenna get his hand in him. Proper class manager over Wilder.

Apparently, that is what happened last season with Leeds. Leeds wanted him, but SheffU wouldn't sell to a promotion rival. Although, given Leeds were promoted and not SheffU maybe they should have
