He has played at senior level for Jamaica, not (yet) for England. He can still choose to go either way, due to age when he made those appearances.

We're going to have a very unhappy player if he's not sold this window.

I'm sure we would but if it's half upfront and the rest as normal I'm pretty confident we'd accept. I don't want him to go btw but for that sort of cash we have to say goodbye.

Both could be great for him imo. Brentford because they're a good team with gaps up front, plenty of opportunity to play and showcase his ability. Forest because they're fighting on more fronts and have some great players: limited threat of looking downwards, plus more opportunities to play than if they hadn't been in Europe.

Depends on the terms, the Brentford £35m was turned down as it was in split payments, maybe forest chanced their arm on a single up front payment initially to test the water.

Have to wonder quite how much he will actually get with the quality of Forests players. Shame they couldn't have let us have one more game of Clutch Hutch before stepping up the pursuit.

Well he’ll have to suck it up won’t he. Fabulous to know we hold all the cards and it’s all on our terms. If clubs want him, then pay up, we ain’t that soft touch anymore.

Can’t see a world where we don’t tbh. Only question is really to whom and for how much? Hopefully 2 or 3 clubs wanting him will force something of a bidding war. If Southampton are looking at £40m+ for Dibling I don’t see why we can’t expect the same for Hutchinson.

Omari hadn’t also at that publicly been angling for a move when that bid was rejected. Forest are hoping that him doing that reduces the price to the release clause he had. [Post edited 6 Aug 20:13]

Ipswich reject 35m for Hutchinson from forest on 20:30 - Aug 6 with 3065 views | BudapestByBlimp | Just over 4 years ago when we were drawing 0-0 at home with Northampton in one of the most awful displays I can remember I never thought we'd ever be turning down £35 million offers for one of our players. He's going but the interest from several clubs is good news for us.
