You have a point, but at the same time we got £30m in the door over two months ago for Delap. Burgess, Mass, Tuanzebe and maybe even Morsy knew they would be leaving a long time ago. It was crystal clear from the early summer interest that Omari was going to leave. So the fact that it’s mid August and our three biggest signings to date aren’t even ready / fit enough for a place on the bench for what is effectively a glorified pre season match doesn’t reflect well.. |  | | |

You’ve known Delap’s been going since April. We are now four months on and no replacement.
Forgetting that for a moment, we all knew that another striker was needed back in December January when Hirst was injured and we only had Delap. No one came through the door. This isn’t just a one time thing, this particular striker issue hasn’t been addressed for 8-9 months.
How long until Hirst is injured again and it leaves us with AAH…? | | | |
