Thought Omari was Ipswich Town. Clear now he wasn’t.
Guess this is the market we’re now in with any player of real promise that comes here.

Not sure I like new football as much. Good luck to him, he probably won’t get an England cap IMHO, just wish he’d done it with a bit more respect and decorum for the club.

If Morsy was still here, he’d have probably left one on him at training.

Why would you possibly think that?

I can't say I ever felt like he was someone with a big connection to the club. McKenna maybe... but we were just a stepping stone for him.

Some of you lads are acting like we’ve never signed a player from another club.

Edit; and isn’t it odd how we aren’t seeing these threads and comments about Broadhead? Who can imagine why?

Omari has tarnished his reputation here with his actions, Broadhead hasn't because he has acted appropriately? How is this hard for you to understand?

Oh, and put the race card back in the pack, not the first time I've seen you pull it out.

Unless you would like to grow a pair, be direct, and accuse me, (and others) of something?
Instead of this thinly veiled ballacks.

It’s worse than the race card - he’s accusing you of being pro-Welsh

(Obviously it’s bleedingly obvious why Hutch is getting more grief, as you accurately summarise).

Did Broadhead not phone in sick on the day of the game vs Bromley ?

Did he not sit in the stands vs Colchester ?

I don't agree with what either player did, but KM made it clear that he was disappointed with NBs decision in his presser when he said "which isn't ideal" about him sitting out. There is a reason he said that information and I think it is implied strongly he wasn't happy.

Well its not ideal to lose a player on the day of a game.
What did you expect McKenna to say. "Nathan phoned in sick this morning, but that's alright, we only lost, and we would have lost if he was here anyway"

Yet I feel far more sympathy for Broadhead as the club has been forcing him out since the start of the year. There comes a time where they don't want you anymore and you think "Stop mucking me around and let me go then."

But even then Broadhead at least bothered to turn up and try his best. Which is more than can be said about Hutchinson. You're telling me, even if the sore throat excuse is true, that he would have turned up if he was 100%? When he acted how he did for the Bromley game?

No but it does mean that KM intended for him to play and Broadhead made himself unavailable.

Same thing that Omari did at Brum. Unless im misreading the situation.

This - to the best of our knowledge Broady got a rough deal. Not enough game time, even though he performed well in the PL. If Town were reluctant to sell him, only for him to sit on the bench most of the season whilst others played badly, you can’t blame him for pushing a move.

Same argument can’t really be made for Hutchinson. That said this looks like a good deal for all parties so hopefully it gets expedited and everyone can move on.

I doubt he would have, which is wrong.

I am just trying to be consistent to both players.

What I would say is that the language towards Omari on X and other platforms had been pretty disgusting actually.

Yes, and Omari got less for that than he did for saying he 'couldn't contribute', especially after he "Trained well on Monday"

Given Broadhead wanted to go this time last year, Played an entire season for us, was always available when fit, wanted to go in January, and still played to the end of the season again always available, how anyone can suggest that he is somehow the same as Omari who signed a little over a year ago, and never really came back from the Euros is beyond me.

Its apples and oranges.

X is just a sewer though - some horrible takes on AAH as well, not really a benchmark of well rounded fans. (I don’t have an account by the way - hardly surprising it’s a rabbit hole of hatred given who owns it).

X and other platforms are nut boxes. I would genuinely get off them.

Little better than the old Daily Mail letters page in intelligence levels, although at least there was some element of filtering at the Daily Mail.

Plus Broadhead wanted to go because McKenna had cast him aside for new signings. Very different to Hutchinson, who would have been the first name on the team sheet.

We are basically adopting the same business model of Brentford, Brighton etc

Best get used to flogging young talent to the higher up's, it is going to happen a lot unless of course we become the higher up's which is a different conversation.

The key point is we have had players that have gone for 10m - 30m+ this summer, considering where we have come from under the Paul's, this is considerable progress for any business.

Young footballer moves from relegated club to further career back in the Prem.... shock.

We only know what we've been told (and read on socials), on the surface it looks like he threw his toys out, but who knows?!

I thank him for his service and wish him all the best.

RIP Sir Bobby

I remember Omari's first interview when he signed here. Not sure if it was when we loaned him or when he signed permanent. But he said "I want to be the best player in The World".. He's clearly a very ambitious type. I wouldn't be surprise if he/his agent , assuming OH impresses next season, would be trying to wangle "the next step up" on his career ladder. This time next year.....
Don't get me wrong, I like Forest who have huge European pedigree. But they're not Liverpool, Barca ,R Madrid....
I feel that his first few clubs are just stepping stones, given his comments and ambition.
Would love for him to have fallen in love with life here. And given his all like Chappers , for instance... But at the same time, glad he's been here on his journey. Gotten us off our seats with some great moments.. Absolute baller. Shame it's ended the way it has.

It was always going to happen and nobody seriously expected otherwise, surely? As to the manner of it: 1. We've heard nothing in his own words yet. 2. His agent is hardly going to say, "Yeah, go play against Birmingham/Bromley. With a bit of luck you won't get your a!se kicked four feet up and down again, scuppering any potential deal." And, being pragmatic, neither would OUR side, when looking at a potential £37M sale, surely; he's still an asset, albeit a saleable one, and there's more than one way to protect said asset. 3. NOBODY is "Ipswich Town" apart from the fans. Not in the way we think we mean. We wish they were but they're professional sportsmen with a career that will be over any time between this afternoon and twenty years time and so it's entirely reasonable for them to seek the best they can. And if that includes refusing/claiming to be unable to play, does that mean they're not th sort of player we want at the club? In which case Sam Szmodics had better start packing his bags.

Sorry, but I just don't get the vitriol from some quarters. I'm disappointed he's going but I will always remember a supremely talented young man I saw playing in an Ipswich shirt when he first attracted national attention, and who was a significant part of a team that did something I never thought I'd see again in almost 50 years of following this club.

Gamechanger have been open about our player trading model.
In that context why would any of our playing staff feel particularly loyal to ITFC.
