Sunderland at it again! 18:27 - Aug 15 with 1844 viewsJoey_Joe_Joe_Junior

They have for sure said, let's not try the Ipswich way haven't they, some fees less than we paid as well. So curious to see how they do!

I think it's pretty obvious how Sunderland will do. If they don't get much from their first 3 fixtures against West Ham, Burnley & Brentford, it could be a long old season.

Mukiele from PSG on his way!

What's that now...?

Alderete
Masuaku
Roefs
Guiu
Xhaka
Adingra
Talbi
Reinildo
Sadiki
Diarra
Le Fee

I do think the narrative some said about the markets we were restricted to as a PL club were a bit laughable! We literally played them in pack out PR in league 1 as well, it's not like they were always hanging around the PL.

The net spend isn't even that different by my count. Not saying it will necessarily work but I mean that looks quite a PL ready doesn't it!

Perhaps lol but I think more a continuation of their work in the previous few seasons, as they recruited heavily from the continent while we were doing our double even. They've walked the opposite path no doubt in where to recruit from, and I still think Xhaka's a stunning signing (one I don't believe we'd have been able to attract tbh, if positions were swapped).

The Leeds and Burnley squads look very very weak, even weaker than ours was at the start of last season IMO.

Possibly and if they go down they will be in a lot worse position than us potentially with some of these wages and players that wouldn't entertain the idea of the Champ but they are giving it a proper go and if it comes off...

Some less than we paid, but not many! €155 million so far spent, 32 million 24 million 23 million 20 million 17 million 15 million.

Good luck to them, but it's not cheap and it's not good odds.

The kind of players in there compared to the EFL figures we were chucking around. Insane to think about.

Sunlan are down - they cannot compete with the PL. Having studied in Newcastle and currently wearing a Newcastle shirt, I hope they go down

I’ve only heard of two of them. The Chelsea lad and Xhaka.
Are any of them any good?

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

The bizarre thing about their signings is they will lose like six of them to afcon for at least a couple of months. That could be disastrous.
