Such a smooth centre back, so calm, brilliant on the ball.

I do hope he stays.

RIP Sir Bobby

Can't blame him for wanting more minutes elsewhere...
He's a "one position" player, which limits our bench options...
KM probably knows that he's reached his ceiling and is willing to let him go.
But will say that Wolfy wanted to leave. (If he goes of course)

Imo, Woolfy looked different gravey in L1. Held his own in Championship. Struggled at Prem' level (but not the only one).

That's interesting. I honestly don't think Woolfenden struggled/ looked out of his depth in the Premier League. Our best run came with him playing in the approach to Christmas.

He's quality but at his age he'll want to be playing regularly. He's had a year of being a bit part player but that was at least in the Prem, he won't want another year of limited minutes at a level he's already shown himself to be more than capable of playing at. Can't really blame him for wanting a move to get regular game time elsewhere.

I hope he stays. Classy player more than good enough for us.

Perhaps I'm doing him an injustice there?

I think the issue is his replacement is perhaps one of arguably two remaining signings from last summer who looked comfortable in the top tier.

Remains our best centre back, be a shame to let him go but he’s too good to sit on our bench

To offer another view, languid and pedestrian, whose pace gets him out of trouble. Clearly not at the level we aspire to be, and not as good as Burgess. In the current market we'd get £3-4m for him?

He’s one of the only players I’ve ever seen criticised as both too slow and too fast

Thot some of his best games were under Lambert, looked so assured bringing it forwards and breaking through lines.

Thought he could go to the very very top, not really pushed on, and think a few managers have hinted maybe it’s a bit too easy for him at times.

Still a very good asset to have.., someone is getting a cracking player.

Edmondson Burgess Wolf, different attributes and all want to defend.., not sure we are stronger without them.., feels a sideways move.
