Rak-Sakyi 15:35 - Aug 24 with 2319 views | CobboldCrusty | Jesarun Rak-Sakyi not in Palace squad - so are they selling him? Is he coming here? I know midfield (x2?) and striker are priorities but frankly I still think we need another attacker/winger going by early evidence of our performances
Rak-Sakyi on 15:37 - Aug 24 with 2276 views | TRUE_BLUE123 | We defo need another attacker. What we dont need is another attacker with below average physicality. When I say that mean im talking, Pace, strength, acceleration. JRS is a talented footballer but we dont need another player like him.

Rak-Sakyi on 16:05 - Aug 24 with 2005 views | PioneerBlue | Yes but no. We went with McAteer because we wanted pace and power rather than a player who was good a few years back for the RW role. I suppose we could loan him.

Rak-Sakyi on 19:05 - Aug 24 with 1190 views | darkhorse28 | We can’t sign 500 inside forwards because the first 499 aren’t doing it. Or can we? Not entirely ruling it out based on past evidence. The double pivot situation, when you consider we’ve used those roles in 100% of the McKenna games (I’ve not seen them all, but most) …, is one of the top 10 strangest situations I’ve seen at the club. It’s up there with Chopras bookie at training dressed as a Chicago gangster. It’s just odd.., there isn’t any mitigation for one player in that role, when we’ve lost 3 from in there.., and the new guy has never played English football, it’s very very odd. Sad to say .., it looks like McKenna getting in his own way again…, trying to coach solutions in to players, rather than sign round orgs for round holes. Massimo was a natural on the half turn, made for the role, and responded accordingly. We could coach Taylor for 100 years (and I really like him.., lots of attributes) but he’ll never be great in those areas .., not the situational awareness. Clarke being inverted.., Leif inverted McKenna is starting to look like he really over thinks things, and think every issue can be fixed with more training and more complexity.., and he’s completely got that wrong I’m afraid. It’s an echo chamber he’s got himself in, sadly. Leif.., no right foot, best wide full back (attacking) in the history of this division. Invert him…, I get it, but if rhays the answer and after 12 months of inverting Clarke, and now accepting he needs chalk on his boots, I think (yet again) we didn’t sign a player for the role. Signing quality, and trying to make them in to different players, hasn’t worked at all, it’s a self indulgence to say the least. Players doing what they do best, and being signed to do a role they are brilliant at .., it’s just a thought. Clarke and Greaves were in this leagues team of the season two years ago. Sorry to say it. McKenna has taken both backwards and Taylor too.., and one or too others are heading that way. Doing things they don’t need to do to get results. Someone needs to remind KM results are importnant…, adding a string to a players bow, is desirable, getting the best out of their qualities though…, that’s essential .., we’ve lost that. It’s like a weight lifter going straight for the PB weight…, failing…, and forgetting to lift the smaller weights that qualify for the medals. It’s back to basics .., and that’s been the case for a very long time…, so there are clearly self awareness, ego, and support issues all over our club. And they aren’t easy to fix when a club has been built around only two individuals. There’s more pain to come.

It's pretty remarkable.

I don’t usually agree with what you say,but some of the stuff in this piece is very true. Especially about Davis and Clarke being inverted and Mckeenna trying to coach things into players that they will never grasp. We should have signed round pegs for round holes. No square pegs and then spend months trying to fit them into the round holes. It doesn’t work, look at Clarke 12 months later and still he can’t do the jobs he is asked to do,because it’s simply not the way he plays.

I don’t think he is far out with this post though. As I say,I don’t agree with his posts most of the time, but he has some valid points here.

100% agree. Looking at our recruitment so far and the insistence of playing various players in new positions that are not natural to them - I have a feeling that McK thinks he's some coaching genius that is able to coach players successfully to play in positions that they are not used to, or have never played in before. Basically, he is attempting to sculpt a square peg into a round one. Not very successful so far though.

There are some very obvious conclusions about this poster which everyone who has paid attention reached long ago... Not a supporter of ITFC.

KMcK has made it clear by what he wants for that role by buying Ogbene and McAteer and quoting Wes post match this weekend. I don’t see how RakS works. OH was a one off and was used across a range of positions often due to injury of others in the RW position otherwise intentional was 10 in latter stage of time with us.

Much as that would make him a dark horse indeed and there do appear to be a lot of budgies obsessed with posting on here at the moment, I think this one is simply dour rather than a budgie. I do find ... their style of ... posting brief comments ... on separate lines ... written without using sentences ... virtually impossible to read ..., though.
