Rodgers and Martin must have a bet on who can be the most disliked manager in Glasgow, Martin edging it at the moment unless he can pull out a result in Bruges.

I would imagine he needs to beat Celtic too and even that could be too little as they have failed to win against several also-rans so are presumably some way behind them already.

True but Rodgers has been in the naughty book with a big chunk of Celtic fans ever since he binned them off for Leicester.
Scottish media (rather like English media) tend to overplay their own clubs' and country's potential.
Of course, if you speak to most Celtic fans, they seem to think they'd be very comfortable in the English Premier League if they ever get the opportunity.

Balderdash.
Of course they would, they and Rangers have a level of support that most Premier League clubs can only dream about. The financial would ensure both clubs were successful if they were given access to the riches of the Premier League.

I think the truth is that they would put together teams that would be solid Premier League teams. However, the idea that the teams they currently have would compete is probably an exaggeration. It would help them that southern English teams would complain about the travelling.

To be clear I'm definitely not a fan of either Rangers or Celtic joining the English pyramid but if they did with the wealth of the Premier League at their disposal and their world wide pull they'd soon be big fish.
