I think it's a case of 'being brave' and trying (unsuccessfully) to get control of the ball again. Heading it back up field probably ends up with Derby regaining possession or winning a foul and disrupting play yet again. We were trying to get some control and keep the ball in play at the time.
It was poor execution and cost us but I can see why he did it. | |
