If we were 2 months into the season I'd probably be annoyed at today's result however with us still not being able to choose all of our new signings it's difficult to be to harsh on the results

We are caught in a crossroads. That paul cook bomb squad start where you're just having to take each game and hope for a win rather expecting a win.

Big big few weeks for KM. Fan patience may well last. But how long does an owner give someone who's won 6 in 48 games. A multi million deal etc.. it will cost a fortune to get rid. But how's that compared to what it would cost to not get promoted.

Now I'm far from saying KM out so please don't turn this into that. But from a result business only KM has had a rotten 14 months of football.

We are still to see the joys of the new signings it'll come. But still some regular players that don't look better than those they replaced.this is a problem. We can keep signing these so called better players. But they need to show it.

I'm on neither side of the fence tonight. We weren't sht. We weren't great. At the moment it's really meh and for what 200 mill spent. Meh isn't good enough

But let's see what november brings as that's the month imo we will see where we are this season.

Lots of teams have new signings, there’s relegation favorites in the PL with new signings, there’s relegation favorites in the champ with new signings, there’s promotion favorites in the champ with new signings.

Whisper it quietly, A lot of our problems are some of last years signings and the way we are trying to play.

That's where I'm at

I'm trying so hard because I don't want to come across as KM out..but he seriously has a ridiculous squad available at this level but doesn't seem to make the mostnof it. The way davis has been ruined is I'm inexcusable. It clearly doesn't work. Not worth persevering with imo.

Agreed.

Sunderland have loads of new signings, and lost their best player.....

Naturally it has some impact of course, but I think seeing it as 6 from 48 is just incorrect and doubt they'll be looking at it that way. So many of those are in the PL and we were so far adrift quality wise that it just doesn't seem relevant to me. If we're in the bottom third of the table towards the end of the year I can see them maybe having a choice to make, but even if we were eight-12th etc, I think they'd stick.

We've been middling, but still picked up points. We've added some serious players in the last three days and you'd expect them to make a real difference.

I don't think you can just simply ignore last season.

6 in 48 what ever it is is a shocking stat.

18 points from 144 is sackable.

He has an awful lot of credit in the bank still though, just brought in quality players he's wanted, so absolutely zero chance of him going, even if we finished just outside play offs, he's earned next season no doubt, that's the level of credit were talking about..

Do we really believe the American owners will see it that way? I can't see any scenario where they deem finishing out of the top six acceptable.

Because we're still ahead of where we were expected to be, KM is a massive part of that, he also showed loyalty to the club when he didn't need to, that's how I'm hoping they'd see it..

Are we well ahead?

Yes we got promoted twice. But we are in the champ and at the moment not firing on all cylinders.

So are we still way ahead?

Well ahead, the Championship promotion to the Prem put us way way ahead, we mustn't forget it either..

If you don’t realise that we’re ahead of schedule, you’ve not been paying attention to what has been said by the club for the last couple of years.

They probably thought it would take three seasons to get to the Prem after promotion from League One, they talked about this five year plan when he took over..

It is frustrating when people draw the line when we start to have a wobble.

How about 34 wins in 94, or 62 in 140? Sounds a lot better doesn't it?

I am not saying it's been a great 12 months or so, but a bit of perspective of where we were as a club and were we are now would be great.

34 in 94 is a win % of 36.17…
