IAs I said on another thread, his individual performance v Sheff Utd was mind blowingly good, but has to be consistent throughout the season, not just flashes of brilliance.

Talented boy, really works hard, but has to do more still consistently.

Maybe give him the season then ? Rather than writing a diss post on match day 4 of 46.

Swansea’s striker is on fire this year, and that’s after a lot of their fans wrote him off last year (he did look woeful last year in fairness). That’s a young foreign player adjusting to his first season in English football. Probably more relevant to Azon than JP, but the wider point is that it can take time for players to settle and find form. JP is clearly a talented footballer. Some of his teckers (tekkers, ltechers?) is obscene. Just watching his touch warming up shows he’s a level above many in this league.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

Writing a ‘diss’ post after poor performances is far from controversial, in the same way I gave him heaps of praise for his performance at Sheff Utd - It’s the essence of football, game of opinions.

By the way, Philogene has bundles of talent, a ridiculous level, but needs to be consistent throughout the season, can’t just do it in patches or flashes - so I certainly wouldn’t be going overboard on him at the moment.

No-one's suggesting going overboard. Some are suggesting give players time, which you weren't doing when this thread started;

"I remember people telling me he was going to cook it up, and tear this league apart on, along with Jack Clarke when I said they aren’t good enough."

This was 4 games in... where you were declaring you'd been proved right against those other fools. Four fecking games.

You can trot out the "game of opinions" cliche as much as you want, your opinion to write him off and say he's not good enough, four games in, is a bobbins opinion. In my opinion.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

We didn’t need JP when we got him, and we don’t need him now.

Hes one of many players of size and stature in the game that the kids think are ‘flames’ or a ‘baller’ but in actual fact have no character or personality to do anything.

For £20m for should be dictating parts of a game, but there’s nothing.

He’s lazy, never gets in shape, and VERY obvious why Emry said no…, you can’t coach motivation and work ethic.

He’s also probably as naturally gifted as anyone in this division and will win games in his own, when he can be bothered.

A better version of JET. Suspect he’ll have a better career too, but has the same negative traits.

He will win us games on his own. And be a liability in others.

Don’t blame the player. Blame the talent ID, we spent £200 million .., you can build one hell of a unit for that.., we haven’t .., disjointed dynamics and planning .., quality above the team ethic we once had.., built by Cook is the elephant in the room.

Not sure McKenna can build a new team.., this is his second attempt.., hundreds of millions spent and we lack the character that got our success.., it’s like we don’t even research personalities at all…, really weak management.

In fact £ for £ awful management.

Awful post made more disturbing by the "lazy" trope.

He actually puts in a shift in matches and takes his defensive responsibilities seriously.

Too right he works very hard; incredibly difficult to believe that's the poster's genuine opinion. I try to give the benefit of the doubt on here and in life, but it's hard not to think that darkhorse has deliberately employed a racial trope for the purpose of trolling the forum.

Darkhorse is really best on ignore. I don’t like using ignore because it can make threads unintelligible. But with this poster, they do not lose any cohesion at all if you knock out his …….’contributions’. That suggests he is still posting/trolling meaningless rubbish, as he always has.
