Philogene stats from today make for ugly reading ... on 22:00 - Aug 30 by FrimleyBlue | Reminds me of jet. All the talent of the world but depends on how he wakes up |
I wish I didn't agree with this, because I'm an eternal optimist, but I watched the highlights of the U21 Leeds v Ipswich match today, and Tudor Mendel seems to be a carbon copy of Philogene in his style of play. I'd expect more from Philogene at this stage, than tricks and flattering to deceive, even though that works at U21 level. What is going on behind the scenes? Why isn't he stepping up? With JET, he had INSANE ability, but his dedication and application was lacking. Look where he is now. Jaden needs to work out what he wants out of his career, and find the avenue that improves him to that point. Otherwise, I do agree with a previous poster on another topic, that he could drop down the leagues if his technical skill doesn't translate into assists, goals, etc.
Philogene stats from today make for ugly reading ... on 03:06 - Aug 31 with 422 views | football | Is he today's scapegoat? Presume because Clarke scored he is. Thought he was ok today in fairness But more to the point how does critisiisng players really help? They see all this - surely its better to get behind the team rather than be nasty?

Philogene stats from today make for ugly reading ... on 21:54 - Aug 30 by CopfordBlue | I prefer to watch than read stats. He played quite well.6.5, maybe 7 out of 10. |
He was absolutely terrible. Created nothing. Hops and skips about trying to look like one of those "street baller" types, then runs into a dead and passes responsibility onto someone else and hides up. Has the physically attributes of a 9 year old and looks like he couldn't give a sh!t. Cut our losses and get rid

There comes a time,as in life, when you have to call someone out. ITFC paid a fortune for this guy and he is clearly not doing his job. By the way we'll done Jack Clark showed some balls hope this is a turning point for him [Post edited 31 Aug 8:14]

Philogene stats from today make for ugly reading ... on 08:15 - Aug 31 with 318 views | Libero | I’m trying so hard to give him a chance, but he’s such a frustrating player to watch - I thought he was slightly better on the right than the left yesterday but overall, very poor.

I do find it one of those funny things about this forum that people believe anybody gives a sh!t what we think. Nobody at the club cares what their nerdiest of fans are thinking, nobody is reading what we write here. Except for Wolfy, as I'm convinced he is the chantry boy user lol...

Philogene stats from today make for ugly reading ... on 09:21 - Aug 31 with 197 views | blueM3 | There is definitely no scapegoating involved in this one today. It was just an absolutely honking display from the lad. He didn’t once drive at an opponent to go past and whip a cross in. Every time he got in the corner he just got stood up by the full back and didn’t even attempt the cross. Numerous times he could have laid the ball back to young but he just kept it himself and inevitably lost it. We need the Burns-esque dashes to the byline and driving a cross in across the 6 yard line or pulled back towards the penalty spot. Players attacking the goal to get on the end of it. All our success the last couple of years (pre prem) has come from fast attacks. Burns one side Davis the other. Beating their men. For some reason there now seems a total change in approach, the pace and attacking corners has gone and been replaced by a pedestrian stroll. And usually involves whoever is on the ball getting to the halfway line then checking inside with a 5 yard pass. Unfortunately having a touchline playing winger on the left totally nullifies leif Davis bombing on as they’re in his way. And we miss the broadhead left side moving into the inside 10 role to give him that space. It appears we’re playing the same system as before with the wrong players in the positions. To me it needs to be Akpom in the broadhead role, shuffling over to the inside left 10, Chaplin in his usual role as the other 10, and presumably Egeli as the Hutch replacement as the right sider cutting in. This will mean either a busy season for Ashley young getting up and down a la janoi or axle, or furlong being that guy. Ben Johnson isn’t the one as he does neither the attacking or defending at the required speed. Jack Clarke as the bench option for the left side and unfortunately philogene isn’t earning a place [Post edited 31 Aug 13:04]

Philogene stats from today make for ugly reading ... on 10:36 - Aug 31 with 143 views | OldFart71 | Think we probably paid between 5 and 10 million too much for him. Whilst having a big pot of cash is great it can also lead to overpaying for players. Nunez, if staying fit looks a great buy at 10 million. We will no doubt see whether the new Norwegian fella is worth 17.5 million. Perhaps he is another Omari who we hope can be worth two or three times what we have paid. But unless you are very shrewd and perhaps lucky you cannot continuously buy then sell players at a profit and remain in the Premier League.

We didn't need him at the time of purchase and we don't need him now. We have wasted a lot of money there, just because he suddenly became available.
